Part 4
Frost POV
After transferring the people from the Crocas, I immediately went back to the town to check if there are still some people around.
I went to every house and thank goodness, everyone was safe. I took a deep breath as I landed down the ground. I was still exhausted from the technique I did a while ago. Seems like I underestimated it’s use and thought it will not affect me if I use it in 10,000 people but I was wrong. Controlling the senses of a large number of people is really difficult and costs a lot of magic. I should have taken precautions.
I walked to the other side of the road when I observed a strange red light coming from the council. I never knew what it was. However, I went to the councils location.
As I came nearer, the light is becoming visible to me. I fastened and ran to the council. I have a very bad feeling in the red flares.
I stunned the moment I was able to know what the red lights are. My breath grew heavier as I went closer to it.
I went inside the building and found out that it was burning in flames. Soldiers were in the floor bleeding and some are dying. It was gruesome to look at it.
Then a flash of memory came to my mind. Master Furion was still inside the main building.
I quickly took my step up to the building. I need to make sure that master is alright.
However as I finally reached the top, the whole office was in great mess. Everywhere you look is nothing but broken things and walls. I found fresh blood on the floor and I guess a war just happened here few minutes ago.
The enemy is surely strong. They were able to do this damage to the councils office. If they are just small fry mages, the council and masters must have defeated them and took a much less damage in the place.
I tried to go deeper in the ruins to find if there are people inside. I still hope that master is safe.
Just as I step on a boulder of a wall I felt that something moved under it. I quickly threw the boulders to find if there are still survivors. Then, an old man with bald head appeared in front of me. He was breathing so heavily. I quickly took him from the boulder and put him on the place with less ruins.
He was badly injured. His internal organs were almost disrupted and his body was full of bruises. Thank goodness I know a little trick in medicine.
Feeling the sting in my medicine, the old man slowly opened his eyes. He was looking so daze. The fact that he is a master of the Blue Pegasus, it was hard to believe that he actually received this fatal injuries in his body. He looks so helpless now.
“You’re one of Furions members, Frost.” He murmured trying to speak.
“Yes, I’m Frost.” I answered back.
He looked more helpless now.
“Go away from here.” he whispered. “The enemy is still…….around.”
“I can’t sir. I need to treat you first.” I answered.
“No. don’t worry about me. Go now.” He murmured.
“Why should I sir?”
“The other masters were abducted…….and taken by the dark guilds. Inform the others……at once. Their lives are in danger. Please, you are the only able to go and tell them…..i beg of you…..” he said as he slowly closed his eyes. I felt his nose and thank goodness he’s not dead.
This is totally bad. To think that the masters were abducted is such an impossible phenomenon!
Those dark guilds, what power do they have? How were they able to level with the joined powers of the council and masters? This is a pain. I need to inform everyone else about this matter.
