The Doctor and Rose

Dead (Chapter 2)

The Doctor and Rose watched the three Sauntarons as General Davinson interrogated them.

They had only revealed that a great war was coming for the Sauntaruns, bigger than any before. But they provided no details, as good warriors never do.

"What do you want? Are you invading? Because if you are you better be prepared for war. The Earth will defend itself, we won't let it go down without a fight. I swear we will kill every last one of you-" Rose cut Davinson off.

"They haven't said they were here to kill, although that is likely, you are threatening them without just cause. What sort of impression is that making?" She says calmly, yet determined. The Doctor smile at her. She had changed so much since he met her.

Davinson straightened up and looked at her. His face a mix of anger and embarassement. "I would appreciate it, Miss Tyler, if you would not correct me in front of the prisoners."

"Why? She has a valid point." The Doctor retorts cockily. "Earth is supposed to be a place of peace and here you are threatening them, and they haven't even threatened you."

"I can do as I please. Plus they've been to Earth before and caused mass distruction. I have reason for distrust." He replies voice rising slightly.

"Doctor." He barely hears Rose's voice as he feels his temper rising.

"One second Rose. I'm putting this man in his place." The Doctor says glaring at him. "There is no need to trust them. But at least treat them with respect. They are-" He is cut off.

"Doctor!" Rose half yells. They both look at her and The Doctors eyes widen. The Sauntarans have her kneeling with a gun to her head.

"My name is General Lux." One of the Sauntaruns said. "You will release us or the human boy dies." He says gesturing to Rose.

The doctors face was of pure anger "You just made a very big mistake." He says coldly. "Rose is not A valuable enough bargaining chip for you to get out of this place. I'm the only one who cares enough."

The Sauntarun remains calm and looks at The Doctor "Stupid Time Lord you're the one we are bargaining with. You won't let your wife die."

The doctor continues to stare at the Sauntaruns. He knows he has no choice but to help him if he wants Rose safe. "Come on then." He says coldly. He smiles reassuringly at Rose before walking them out.

They walk through the seemingly endless corridors before exiting outside. The Sauntaruns lead the way to there spaceship still holding Rose hostage. Once they aRrive they turn to the others.

"Now release Rose as you promised." The Doctor says pleadingly.

"Sauntaruns do not release hostages alive. We show no mercy." They say pushing the gun harder against Rose's head.

"No! We did what you want. It's a fair trade." The Doctor says hurriedly. But it's too late. The gun goes off and Rose falls to the ground. Dead.

What a ending. I Love cliffhangers. Well I hope you are enjoying. Lots of plot twists and things to come. :)
