"Hverr ir wrōngær, Móðir?"
"What is wrong, Mother?"

Finland shook his head, tears in his eyes. Joyous tears, mind you. His son had changed, yes, but he was still Hauk. Finland could tell, mother's intuition. His once short blond hair had become black and long, reaching down to just past his shoulder blades. It didn't look well taken care of, either, but Finland kept that to himself. His skin had become... dark. A copper color. The boy was dressed in a deer skin robe and had a few eagle feathers woven into his hair behind his ear. Hauk's eyes were still blue, though. Finland shook his head.

"Vætr, minn barn."
"Nothing, my child."

Hauk smiled. Movement behind the Fin caught his attention. Sweden stood a little ways behind Finland. Refusing to move. Hauk gave his mother a large hug around the waist and continued back to the Swede. He smiled and rose his arms, hands outstretched.

Sweden sighed, smiling ever so slightly. The blonde picked up the native child. Said child wrapped his skinny arms around his father. Sweden's eyes widened as he felt his son's cheek against his own. Sure, he had expected it, but a compressive feeling had started up in his chest. Like it filled a hole he hadn't even known was there.

Hauk pulled away, still in Sweden's arms. "Ir eittsvat wrōngær, faðir? Gera þú ki líkr mér einnhverr?" "Is something wrong, Father? Do you not like me anymore?"

Sweden shook his head. "Nei, sonr, hvatvetna ir sakeyrir nú." "No, son, everything is fine now."

Hauk frowned and looked to the trees. "Stór Bróðir!" "Big Brother!"

No reply. The child climbed down from his father's embrace hastily. The Swede let him down with little hesitation. Hauk dashed into the trees not caring of Finland's cries for him to stop.

Bjørn looked at the ground, unable to move. He wanted to. He really did. He wanted to run up to his mother and hug him and cry. He wanted to be comforted by his father. But his conscious weighed him down.

His feet wouldn't move. Not an inch.

Twigs cracked and Hauk tumbled into the clearing. His blue eyes were glazed with concern.

"Stór Bróðir! Hví ér ki heilsa Móðir?" "Big Brother! Why [did] you not greet Mother?" He cried. Bjørn looked away and gritted his teeth.

"Bróðir, ek kná ki andlit okkarr Móðir en Faðir. Ki hvatvetna ek blandask gǫrr." "Brother, I cannot face our Mother and Father. Not [with] everything I have done." Hauk shook his head.

"Bróðir, ér wrōngær. þær munu ástir til líta ér!" "Brother, you [are] wrong. They would love to see you!" He said as he placed a hand on his older brother's shoulder. Bjørn looked up at him, still keeping his head towards the ground. Hauk smiled.

More rustling in the bushes behind them got their attention. Bjørn growled. A pale hand reached out and grabbed a branch, moving it out of the way. Hauk's smile became wider.

Finland practically fell out of the bush, Sweden right behind him. Bjørn peered at the new people and his eyes widened as he locked eyes with the Fin.

"Bjørn?" "Do I really have to translate this?" Tears welled up in Bjørn's eyes. "Ir thær ér?" "Is that you?" Bjørn nodded.

"Já, Móðir." "Yes, Mother." Both boys barely had time to comprehend Finland's movements before they were almost tackled in a hug. It was hard to tell if the Fin was happy or sad, for both tears and laughter escaped him. Bjørn froze up. The action was welcomed, but Bjørn couldn't seem to let himself relax. It was as if, if he took a wrong breath, his mother would disappear. Finland held him tighter.

"Ei se mitään," "It is okay," Finland said, slipping into Finnish. "En aio lähteä." "I'm not going to leave." Bjørn sniffed and shook as he finally broke loose and started sobbing into his mother's shoulder.

"Olen pahoillani! Olen pahoillani!" "I'm sorry!" The boy sobbed. Finland cooed and patted the older twin's head, shushing him gently. "En koskaan tehnyt tarpeeksi! Olisin voinut pysäyttää sen!" "I never did enough! I could have stopped it!"

Sweden walked over, tired of seeing his son beat himself up. As soon as Bjørn saw him come closer, he immediately straightened up and dried his eyes. He wiggled out of the embrace and stood tall next to Hauk. Sweden smiled, kneeling  down and ruffling their long hair. Without warning, the Swede pulled them into a huge bear hug and smiled. "Olen niin ylpeä teistä kahdesta." "I'm so proud of you two."

Hauk grinned so wide Bjørn was worried his face would split. After a moment, a smile creeped onto Bjørn's face as well. It was the happiest they'd been in a long time.
