Melanie's Pov

A few days have passed by. Parker works at  H&M and I work at Forever 21. College starts tomorrow and I'm literally excited to meet new people and learn and so on. I've already got my supply's and everything ahhh I can't wait.

Oh and don't think I forgot about that whole thing with Grayson Ethan and Parker. I thought Grayson was being nice but I guess not and I also guess Parker gave him some more money because he asked me to lunch today once again.

I said yes because I didn't want to be rude but should I have said yes? I don't know.

Right now I'm walking into some place I've never heard of. Grayson said this place was good and I'm literally willing to try anything.

When I walked in I saw Grayson sitting on his phone. So I walked over to him and sat across phone him.

"Hey" I said causing his head to pop up.
"Hey how are you" "Umm ok I guess" "that's cool so what have you been up to?" "Before I answer that I'm gonna go order to some food because I'm starving" "Well you know theres other things you could eat"

"And that's my cue to leave" "no I was just playing" I laughed and said. "I know but I'll be back"

I got up and Ordered and came back.

"Anyways um I've been just chilling you know getting ready for school tomorrow" "oh thats right you do are you excited" "oh course I can't wait I already have everything I need like supplies and such" "oh cool cool so your birthdays coming up?" "Yeah" "What day again"

"Actually it's tomorrow" "what are you doing for it" "nothing just probably going to shop from some clothes then go back home" "why aren't you doing anything like throwing a party?" "There not really my thing" "oh" "yeah"

It then became really quiet so I decided to ask Grayson a question that he wouldn't expect me to ask.

"So how much?" "What?" Grayson looked confused. "How much did she give you this time? Ya know money" "I don't know what your talking about" "really? So you mean to tell me that Parker hasn't been giving you money just to hang out with me" "I-" "and you haven't been taking it?"

"She told you?" " no I found out" "listen I'm sorry Mel" "Melanie" "Sorry, i mean Melanie, I'm sorry for just doing that" "it's fine I get it you gotta make money some how" "it's not like that" "whatever so how much did she give you this time" "actually she doesn't know about this" "about what" "our little lunch date"

"Sorry bud but this isn't a date" "whatever this is" "So your telling me you actually wanted to have lunch with me" "Yeah I'm not that horrible" " yes you are your the worst"

"Ouch my heart" "I'm sorry does it hurt?" "Yeah" "you'll get over it" I smiled.

"So your not mad our anything" "nah to be honest there's really nothing to be mad about she's just trying to be a good friend, I know her heart is in the right place" "Yeah"

"Melanie" I heard my name. That must be my food.

"Brb" i said getting up.

Grayson's Pov

Once Melanie went to get her food, I received a text from Ethan.
