There's a gap between her thighs
And a wanting in her eyes
Skinny but not enough
"10 more pounds and I'll stop"
"20 more pounds and I'll stop"
"I'll stop when I'm 70 pounds"
More and more promises to herself
More and more broken with each and every day.
All she wants is to be pretty.
And pretty is skinny.
Pretty is thigh gaps and bikini bridges.
Pretty is hipbones and ribcages.
Pretty is when her spine sticks out.
And her cheekbones are seen.
She's know starving is a deadly game.
Russian roulette with food
Didn't die this time
But who knows about next?
Hunger pains make her "strong"
They give her "control"
Little does she know,
Her body is eating itself
With every missed meal.
Some muscle will be gone,
But she's "pretty,"
So, it's okay.
Right?
