NOVA FELL DOWN onto the couch and lied her head on May's shoulder. She watched as April and June compete at a video game yelling out multiple curse words, shoving each other, and the sound of the joysticks. August sat a few feet away from both November and May, playing on her phone as she shoved food into her mouth.

"Why is Dakota always commenting on your posts?" Auggie asked with a mouthful of chips. Nova raised her head up confused yet intrigued.

"Dakota?" Nova questioned as she furrowed her eyebrows.

"Dakota Adkins?" Auggie reminded as she looked up from her phone and straight at the blonde, whose eyes went wide in realization.

"Oh!" The blonde exclaimed, but her expression soon changed. "I don't like her."

"That's not surprising, you hardly like anyone," May playfully scoffed as she nudged Nova. The blonde turned and faced her with a shock look on her face.

"You guys' act like I'm some . . . horrible person," Nova mentioned. Truthfully, she was a bit hurt because she honestly wasn't that bad, she just seemed intimidating with her blunt personality.

"I mean . . ." April trailed off, keeping her focus on the video game she was playing. November's mouth dropped as she kept looking at Auggie then behind her at May.

"Okay, hop off my dick. I'm not mean," Nova spat as she fell back down into the couch and pouted. She huffed as she folded her arms and bounced her leg trying to contain her irritation.

"We're not saying you're relatively mean, it's just that-." June stopped herself, secretly wanting someone else to finish the sentence for her as she played her game.

"You're just not easy to converse with and get along with," Auggie explained so nonchalantly, continuing to stuff chips into her mouth.

"What do you mean?" Nova asked as she pushed herself up and sat up straighter.

"Let's use Jaeden for example-."

"Here we go," Nova scoffed and rolled her eyes, cutting off May from speaking.

"You and him aren't friends because you're opinionated," May explained with a sincere tone, trying to reason with the stubborn blonde.

"I'm not the only one at blame, so is Jaeden!" The blonde fired back growing more angry.

"You're just opinionated, Nova," April sighed as she glanced behind her at the blonde. "You think you're always right most of the time which makes people not like you."

"Thanks for the support guys', I really appreciate it," Nova sneered sarcastically before getting up. She felt her eyes become glossy and started to storm off, making the room go quiet. Everyone stopped what they were doing and watched the girl turn the corner and soon hear a door slam shut.
