Me and the Witches

June 18, 1997

     I turned around and looked at Rachel's weak and cold body, as she shivered she smiled and called quietly ", It's okay, I promise!" I walked up to her and put my friendship bracelet on her wrist. I turned to walk away, I just needed to forget about this family. I've caused enough harm. "Rachel?" I asked. Rachel called back to me ", yes?" I smiled and stared to walk away ", my name? My name is Moilie." I heard her call back to me, I ignored her. I walked out of the ally with nothing but the clothes on my back.

     I need to make a different life now that this one was out of my hands...

      It has been five years now, the police are looking for me. I'll be 13 tomorrow, me and Rachel have the same birthday, we are exactly six minutes and six seconds apart. Unlike her I was born a millisecond before midnight. Thinking about Rachel made me really sad. I touched the spot where my bracelet used to lay eight years ago.

Suddenly a man yelled out at me. "Where are you parents little one?" I put a barrier around me. "A witch?! Why would they let someone like your kind move around our very streets?!" The man started throwing things at my barrier. "Guards! A witch! I've spotted a witch!" I ran, the man still chasing after me. I ran to an alley nearby. The allies I've known so well for long as I can remember. I lost him when I turned onto a main street and went to an allie across the way. As I walked the allie I came by a school. I've always wanted to go to school! I peeked up onto a window. I let me barrier go down, as I listened into the class's conversation. "Okay kids, today we are talking about witches, and why they are banned in this very kingdom." The kids looked around the room, but the teacher quickly pulled them back to the front of the room. "A witch named , Death, killed our people year ago! Now witches has been known to kill, steal and not to love people. Every witch just wants to have love though, but we never gave it to them, so they killed to get our attention. The stole to see if they would be seen or even cared for. When they started that, we killed over half of the witches population within the month of the rebellion. Since then, the guard say there is only 13 witches live in our world, and they live in this very kingdom. Okay class times up run along home now, be safe!"

I shook head, I can't believe this is what children are told now! I just want to feel loved and cared for once more. I'll change this, I know I will!
