EVERYTHING.
We really should be
Because that's the only way that life makes sense
It's the only way we know how
Dinners and family
Turkey
Mac and cheese
Mashed potatoes
Pies
Or whatever is served at your house
As long as it is a thanksgiving dinner
It does the job
Makes the platform for conversation with family
And loved ones
Thanksgiving it is,
Thankful we should be.
Life
Dear parents and siblings
Significant others
Extended Family
Friends
Good health
Peace of mind
Love for ourselves and others
General happiness
That's a good place to start
God has generously granted us all these
We should at least acknowledge and give thanks
We owe that to Him
And to ourselves
For gratitude is a virtue,
Making Thanksgiving a tradition.
