Chapter Forty

Third person's POV

6:00 AM

Jungkook wakes up with no presence of Jimin. He climbed off the bed and looked out for his boyfriend. Jungkook frowned when he realized Jimin wasn't even at home.

Jungkook walked towards their shared room to get his phone that was placed on the table just beside their bed. He was about to grab his phone when something else caught his attention- he saw a letter and the ring he gave for Jimin.

He felt his heart racing against his chest violently as he open the letter and started reading it.

Dear, My Jungkookie,

I want you to know that every moment with you mean a lot to me. You make me happy even at the simplest thing, so thank you for letting me be part of your life.

I know I promised you that I won't leave you again, I'm sorry for breaking my promises again.

I know I'm being selfish for not telling you about this... I can't Jungkook, because letting you go is the hardest thing for me and I'm afraid that I would take it back, so I decided to not tell you personally.

I really love you Jungkook, I really do, that's why I endured everything even if it pains me and chose to ignore the harsh reality.

I wanted to make you happy so I chose to stay even if I knew I can't still change the fact that I'm not the one inside your heart. It's always been him.

Last night, you said you love me and I could see the sincerity through your eyes, it's overwhelming and I couldn't help but to feel emotional but I know deep down inside you love him more. You love him more than anyone else and he is someone that can't be replaced by anyone, you said that to me.

Even if it hurts, I already accepted everything.

It's hard for me to do this but I need to... for you and for your happiness.
