Tray's POV
I grabbed my keys and slid on a jacket. But when I walk out, King has a grim look on his face.
"Bro, you good?" I ask.
"Man... Nique is pregnant. And she doesn't want you here no more." He says with his head in his hands.
"Shit!" I say. "Can't I just stay until it gets real serious." I ask.
"She's already 4 months." He says. I bang on the door and start pacing.
"Bro, if you need it I can give you some money-" He starts saying.
"BRO WHAT THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO DO??!" I say. "I got nobo-" I stop mid-sentence and run back up the stairs.
About an hour and 30 minutes later I'm pulling up to Airi's house. And I decide to call her before I come in.
"Hello?" She says in a raspy voice.
"Hey sleepyhead." I say listening to her yawn.
"What you want?" She says.
"Daddy's home." I say with a big goofy smile as I start to get out the car.
"My daddy ain't been home since I was 4 soo..."She says. I smack my teeth and roll my eyes.
"Come get this door." I say.
"But I don't wanna get up!" She says whining.
"Come down, Airi." I say and eventually I hear her roll out of bed and the door knob starts to jiggle as she opens the door.
She opens the door a little more and I can see she's wearing some tight shorts that comfortably round her thighs and a sweatshirt crop top thats stops just above her belly button to show off the curves in her waist.
"You gone come in or just stand here looking dumb?" She says tilting her head.
"I think I might stand here for a good minute." I say trying to get a better look at her.
"Boy." She says as she closes the door.
"I'm just playing! I'm just playing!" I say holding the door open. And she opens it back up and I walk in dropping my bags.
"What's with the bags?" She asks stepping back.
"I need somewhere to stay." I say looking into her eyes.
"How long?" She says rolling her eyes as she walks away. I don't notice I've been staring at her butt until she turns around.
"Oh, maybe just for a month or so." I say coming back to reality.
"Ok." She says sitting down. "One condition." I gesture for her to continue.
"No girls in my house and you stay in here." She says pointing to the floor.
"Gotchu." I say and pull her into a hug. I hold her for an extra second for her warmth.
"Tray, I'm trynna go back to bed and-" She says.
"Right! Right, no go ahead I'll see your fine ass in the morning." I say letting her go and watch her go into the room.
I lay across the couch and kick my shoes off as I get comfortable and soon I doze off again.
