"Great, now she's hanging out with that ugly sonuva." I grumbled kicking a rock. "You hurt her feelings. Yeah, to protect her. Who are you to know that you can't?" He kinda got me there. "Listen, I still haven't killed Lucifer, or Satan. There are many more demons between me and them still. I understand what you say, Sekushi. But that's a risk. It's something that can always happen, all you can do is be careful, and do your best to prevent it." Could I prevent bad things happening to her? So many things were eating at me. That one mistake. It takes one mistake and she's gone. "You're losing so much confidence dude. Shut up. You got this. Do I?"
Out of the multiple times I've come out on top, there were still slip ups, no matter how small of a percentile. Thinking about it opened wounds from my past.
The past is the past. Move on.
This is happening across so many dimensions, but each slightly different.
But what if?
There's always a "what if".
I kicked the rock again, and it slipped across the ground, coming to a halt. I followed it, lining my walking kick with the rock, kicking it harder this time.
"Ugh," I groaned. My head has too much. What do I do? "Just follow what your heart wants. That's some friendship shit right there, Burtrum. Yeah, but it isn't wrong. Go get her." I sighed, turning around.

I walked into the clothing store, Mason behind me.
"Thanks for showing me around, I really appreciate it." Mason smiled.
"Yeah, no problem. Sucks Seku couldn't join us."
"Why's that?" Mason plainly asked, not much care in his tone.
"He's my boyfriend. And I'm going to marry him." I stated. I was really saying that a lot.
"Not much of a boyfriend if he leaves you like he did."
"I kind of get it though. I showed up without his knowledge nor consent. He wanted me to stay away."
"Why?"
"He's kind of dangerous. Hot spot for baddies."
"Oh." Mason looked away, deep in thought. "I wouldn't let anyone hurt you ya know."
"Yeah, my friends usually do that."
"That's not what I-" Mason began before Neptune saw something across the store and walked quickly towards it. "Man. What does she see in that guy?" He sighed.

I walked. Just walked. Back towards home. I wanted to be with Neptune. I wanted to stare into her eyes. I wanted to hold her. I wanted her to kiss me. I knew she missed me, and the way I was acting wasn't fair to her. She got here, which means she doesn't care about the dangers." What's the point in not being with her? Why should the past restrict my happiness? I quickened my pace. I was stronger than before.
It wouldn't happen again.

(Neptune's p.o.v.)
I looked at myself in the jacket, turning in the mirror. I didn't exactly like it.
"It looks great on you!" Mason complimented.
"Thanks, but, it's not for me." I stated, removing it. "Hey, can we go look for Sekushi now? I'm kinda worried about him."
"Who cares?" Mason retorted. "He left. He can come back."
"What if something bad happened to him?"
"Isn't he so strong? He can take care of himself, no?"
"Well, yeah, he can, but," I tried to explain.
"You need me. I can't be beat, not even by him."
"Can you stop hitting on me and stop saying all of that negative stuff about Sekushi?"
"I'm sorry if the truth makes you feel that way." Mason commented. Neptune returned to the clothes, feeling awkward. She closed her eyes, sighing.

Finding my way into the city, I quickly scoured the shops for Neps. I then arrived to the clothing store. Looking in, I saw Mason then start to lean in towards Neptune. Her eyes still closed. This dick was going in for a kiss. Neps lips were mine. Everything started to spin fast, and before I knew it, I stood were Mason was, my fist stretched outward, Mason flying back into a wall, busting it into pieces. I looked at Neptune and kissed her.
I felt her push me away.
"Did you just kiss me!? Only Seku can ki-" she then realized it was me.
"He tried to. I'm sorry. I love you. I never want to leave you. No one can have you. I'm going to make an example out of this asshole." I turned to Mason. "Today is the day you die."

"Not gonna lie, this chapter was hard to write and I had little motivation. To the point where as of finishing this, I have the structure to the rest of the next ten or so chapters done." I sighed. "So, sorry it sucks. But I don't care. Fuck expositions needing to be good! Next time: Sekushi VS Mason."
