Sam watched Skai run out the door and jump into Kyle's waiting arms.
Sam yearned for her. He wished it was him out there. He wanted Skai to jump in his arms and kiss him the way she was kissing Kyle. As if the whole world depended on it.
He watched as Kyle set her down and felt her head looking for her injury.
A wave of guilt overwhelmed him.
He was always thinking back to that day. The day he landed her in the hospital. And he knew that Kyle was far from finished giving him hell for it.
That day, he had taken the hits because he knew that he deserved it. But he wouldn't take anything from him this time. Skai had already forgiven him and he didnt need Kyles forgiveness.
He moved away as Kyle and Skai started walking towards the house. Kyle wasn't carrying any bags. Sam wondered where he was staying.
"What's up man?" Trey said giving Kyle a bro hug. Sam gritted his teeth watching the exchange.
He quietly left the living room and slipped out the back door.
The rest of the guys were all cool with Kyle. Sam wasn't. He wanted to say that it was because of the black eye. But he couldn't. He hadn't liked him from the moment he saw him in his Theatre with Skai in his arms. He didn't want to admit it. But it was inevitable.
Kyle had been wrong. He didnt have a little crush.
He was falling in love with her.

"I dont think so. You're not going anywhere near my face with that." Skai told the make up artist, who was appalled by Skais tone.
"Skai." Kyle chastised pulling her out of the woman's earshot.
"You know I dont like people touching me Kyle." she told him.
"But you got your hair done today." he pointed out.
Skai sighed. "That's different Kyle. Its only my hair and plus, you know I suck at doing my hair. You know I don't dress up much." she reminded him.
"Yes Skai. I know."
"Look." she said pointing to her head. "I already did my makeup."
She admired her handiwork in the mirror next to them.
Because television lights were so tricky she had settled for light eyeliner and mascara to make her eyes stand out. That was about it besides a soft dot of blush.
Skai absolutely hated lipstick or any other crazy concoction women decided looked good on their lips. She was wearing her handy dandy chapstick.
Kyle pulled her into a hug. "I can see that and you look beautiful."
He looked down at his girlfriend. She was wearing a very short...He wasnt sure but it looked like shorts and a tank top. What set it off was the gold belt around her waist. He also loved her hair. He enjoyed pulling on a curl and watching it bounce back into place.
"Did you just call me beautiful Kyle? I thought you were totally against that."
He grinned. "I'm breaking the rules today. You are absolutely stunning."
Skai smiled and kissed him. "Thanks." she said against his lips. "You look pretty too."
He chuckled and kissed her back passionately.
"Okay you too. The show starts in ten you can stop sucking each others face off." Sam said sourly. He was working tonight.
"No, no." Trey cut in. "Let them finish." He told Sam. Then to Skai he said, "Get all you can cause I'm gonna cream you tonight." He winked at her. She rolled her eyes at his lame pun.
