Author's Note: The Killjoys are all the same age. About like 24 maybe. The girls in this story are um... 21 maybe? It would be about that anywayssss. Just so that nobody gets confused with how old they are. :)

Killer Diamond's POV

The gun was right between hmy eyes, and theman's finger was on the trigger. I couldn't see his face, and I was too terrified to move in case he shot me. I didn't walk all this way to be shot. Gathering up my courage like I'd always been taught to, I began to see that this... this wasn't so bad. At least the gun was yellow, and not white. That meant it wasn't BL/ind. The man, however, seemed much more than plain annoyed.
"Come on. Your name. I'm not afraid to shoot you. I've shot people before."
A whisper came from behind him, to the left a little. "Party...."
"Shut up Kobra! What's your f--king name?"
I gathered in a breath. "I..it's Diamond. Killer Diamond. And this is Adrenaline Revolver."
"Where you from? Your accents aren't from around this area." the gun still wasn't lifted from my head.
""We're... situated more northern than this. Maybe...3? 3 or 4, between there. That's where we're from."
The guy lifted his gun from between my eyes and put it back in it's holster. "Welcome to the Outer Zones you two. Unfortunately we aren't in need of any further assistance right now, but it was a pleasure to meet you both, however hasty it might have been. I'm Party Poison, this is Kobra Kid, Jet Star and uh, Fun Ghoul."
"I'm sorry that Party here was a bit over excited, and thought we had spy agents from BL/ind. I apologise for the incident with the gun. I'm Kobra." the blonde one in the red jacket behind Party Poison shook my hand.
"It's... It's quite alright." I smiled.
"Fun Ghoul. When we were younger. You were about 13, I was about 9. My dad smuggled some supplies out to you and your family out in the Outer Zones. Please tell me it meant something to you."
"That depends," the person in a slightly green tinted jacket and a yellow shirt. He shook his long black hair up with his hand. "Who's the guy again? I vaguely remember a man sneaking in to help us when we were in s--t."
"He went by the trading name of The Office."
Fun Ghoul's eyes opened wide. "I know the guy you mean. We used to call him T.O. How is he now?"
"He uh... BL/ind got him."
"Oh. Mindless wreck?"
"No. No. They knew I had gotten away and they found him with stashes of unnamed food which they rightly assumed were for rebel forces. He didn't make it out of there. They got him good, I'm afraid."

This was the first time Revolver had spoken openly about her father and how he had... perished. It hit her hard. Revolver and I both had no parents left. She had never known her mother, and her father had been killed by BL/ind. She had it pretty hard. I'd been simply orphaned from about the age of 8. I didn't even know what happened to my parents. I wasn't there. They never came home one night, and I was left to fend for myself after that. Fun Ghoul looked pretty bummed. The duy must have meant something to him too. He put his hand on Revolver's shoulder.
"Yeah. He saved my life on many occasions with the supplies. When we were younger we had nearly nothing. Your dad saved us. I can't tell you just how thankful I am for that." he smiled sympathetically.
"I know." Revolver smiled a sad smile back, and Fun Ghoul took a step back. He turned to Kobra and whispered something to him. Kobra nodded, and looked at Party.
"Party. They spent ages travelling. Days. God knows why they left, but it doesn't matter. That girl's family did something for Ghoul and we should respect that and let them travel with us."
"No way. Not in a hell of no. Just because Ghoul needs to repay an old debt doesn't mean we should endanger our own safety. I ain't losing another person I care about." Party Poison hissed. His brightly coloured red hair fell over his face and covered part of his mask, which was a bright but dusty yellow with blue and black.
"They're not murderers! They're girls! They like, a few years younger than us, the redhead looks dehydrated and starving, as does Revolver, and we need to repay Revolver an old debt. Without her father, we might not have had Ghoul, and if we didn't have Ghoul our destinies would be so different wouldn't they? If you're going to be like this, cutting yourself off from everybody else, then I don't know what can save you. Hell, I'm almost so done with this it's getting sickening. Do you even remember the original dream or do you just remember killing because killing is the only thing we seem to do now? I don't even want to be in power, I just want someone who isn't as sickminded as the BL/ind brats. And we can't leave the girls to die. Not now, Party. Not now." Kobra's voice seemed to tremble at the end. You could see by the way he held himself up that he was afraid. Afraid of the stand he had just taken, despite being who he was. But... he wouldn't be. Kobra wouldn't reveal his weaknesses. Party looked Kobra in the eyes.
"Fine, but if they get killed, or if one of us gets killed, just remember. This was not my choice. You remember what happened last time. I'm so done, I don't give a s--t." Party spat. "Get in the damned car. There's room in the back, between Jet and Ghoul."
Kobra gave us a quick thumbs up and opened the car door. Jet climbed in first, then me, then Revolver, then Ghoul. Upon the closing of the door of the Trans-Am, the car sped away. I looked to my side and saw Jet Star sitting there, his hand on the side of the car and his helmet still on as it sped along the dirt road.I realized he hadn't spoken yet.

"Hey there." I smiled, nudging him slightly with my elbow. "You okay?"
He looked at me and nodded, pulling his helmet off, revealing a rather impressive afro.
"I'm sorry about the trouble. We didn't mean it." I told him, just in case he was pi$sed off, which he had every right to be.
"It's really not big of a deal. I'm Jet Star, but you can call me Jet if you so wish." he smiled a small smile at me, in the hope that I wouldn't be a total weirdo.
"Killer Diamond, but most just call me Diamond."
"I hope you're aware Diamond what your little friend over there got you into." he indicated to Revolver.
"Yeah I know. Fighting, more fighting than up north, I'd bet."
"Down here? Oh definitely. And much harder when they spot us too. They have a huge bounty for our heads. Caught us once and we escaped. We just faked our death and got the hell outta there.  They despise us for it. Soon they'll pick up on you two and you'll have to stay with us til death. Otherwise the fighting will spread and we just don't need it spreading to the north."
"Not everyone got away. Am I correct?" I sighed, meaning the girl they used to help.
"Yes, you're correct. The Girl was left at BL/ind, despite our attempts to find her. She disappeared. We believe she was killed. In fact, Kobra found her body lying outside in a decontamination outer box outside BL/ind... It was a really sad day. We don't like to think what might have been."
"Of course you don't. You've saved more lives than you've caused deaths. You're all amazing and it's a total honor to be here with you guys. Like, more than life, you have no idea what it means to people like us. Regular killjoys from the north..."
"You're not regular if you can survive a trek like that."
The car pulled to an immediate halt outside an abandoned cafe. I sighed.

"It's time to check the place out."
