Keep helping the planet it's one of the best things we have we need to save it now!!! It's beautiful and has loads of different life forms that are all different!!! We can start by cleaning and helping the ocean! More sea creatures are dying because of our stupidity! Please spread the message!! And don't just sit back and think it will all be ok! Because it won'tHello ladies and gentlemen, I am Candy Gregg, I will be telling you what happens to our oceans and our sea creatures! And then taking you on a dive to show you what happens.
So the first topic is boats polluting!
Boats/cruise ships/ferry's/etc
Pollute the sea by dumping there wast into it! Weather it be oil or rope it is dangerous for our beautiful animals!!! And we need to save them!Do any of you know where all our rubbish goes?
Yes you?
It goes to the bins...
After that?
Landfills?
Correct but what happens then? Well I'll tell you! When we have strong wind or not even that strong it all blows into rivers, lakes... but in the end that all joins up with the oceans somewhere! And that is how the plastic and junk gets into the ocean!I'll explain it fully now so listen carefully!!
According to Waste Management, only 1 percent of plastic bags are returned for recycling. That means that the average family only recycles 15 bags a year; the rest ends up in landfills as litter. Up to 80 percent of ocean plastic pollution enters the ocean from land.
In 1975, the National Academy of Sciences estimated that 14 billion pounds of garbage was being dumped into the ocean every year. That's more than 1.5 million pounds per hour.
Around the world, an estimated one million birds and 100,000 marine mammals and sea turtles die each year when they become trapped in plastic or eat it, perhaps mistaking it for a tasty treat. It is one of biggest threats to all whales and dolphins occurring throughout the world's oceans.
Plastic waste is one of many types of wastes that take too long to decompose. Normally, plastic items can take up to 1000 years to decompose in landfills. But plastic bags we use in our everyday life take 10-1000 years to decompose, while plastic bottles can take 450 years or more. May 10, 2018
Now how to stop littering:
1. Choose not to litter.
2. Educate friends and family.
3. Remind others not to litter and why.
4. Get a litter bag or portable ash receptacles to share.
5. Volunteer in your community to help prevent and cleanup litter—from cigarette butts to illegal dumps. These are just five things you can do!! So do them!
Now I'll show you to where we will be diving!
...
(Only pics up ahead)
That was how much damage can be done!!
As you can see! Now it's a bye from me!
The end xx
