(Chapter 2)( Jack)

I sat in a chair at the young police man's desk. The chair was turned away from the desk and the young cop was on his knees in front of me; so we were eye to eye. They had put my captor in a cell they had at the station. " you can be completely honest with me here, we're alone ". He said. " what's your name?" I ask . " Jack, would you tell me yours." He said. " Joy".

I say. " how bout that last name?"" Mine's Serrano ".

Jack asked. " Ridge". I say . He smiled. " you sure are corporative"." And your age"? He says. " you first". I say. He smiled.

" I'm 20". He says. "I'm 18". I say.

He nodded. There was a silence. I couldn't hold the tears back anymore . I jumped into his arms. He stood up and held me . I cried into his shoulder. " I was so scared" I say. He put me down. He bent down a little, and wiped my tears away with his thumbs . I whimpered.

" ssshhhh, it'll be fine"" we'll get this straightened away; promise". He whispered. "But for now, how bout I take you home ". He says. I nodded wiping the rest of my tears away. He took me home and stayed there for a while to explain to my parents what had happened. They thanked him. He also explained that he would have to spend more time with me so he could learn a bit more to set up a case for me. The case was to get my kidnapper arrested. Jack had told me that he would talk to me later about how we would go about the case but for now that I should get some rest . And that I shouldn't stress about anything and that the station he worked at had everything under control, and would work everything out. He had also said that if I were to need him to call him. And any information he may need to call him and tell him to help the case go more smoothly. My parents reassured me that everything would be alright and that they would be there for me. My father held me close as he did when I was a child. My mom kissed my head. " you'll be fine honey; your strong, I just know it". She said.
