“How was she?” I asked, leaning closer to Gabe so that the couple wouldn’t hear.
“All she did was talk about how much money Sebastian has and how expensive everything for the wedding is” he whispered back.
Then it clicked. “I noticed the difference between the two of them when they walked in. He seemed like he loved her, but she just ignored him. Think she’s a gold digger?” I asked, looking up at Gabe. He just nodded in agreement.
After the lesson, Scarlett quickly walks out the door, leaving Sebastian to pay for the lesson. “Maybe I can schedule a private lesson because I obviously need more help.” Sebastian laughed, taking out his wallet.
“Don’t worry about the lesson” I said, taking out the calendar and scheduling his lesson for next Friday.
“Really, let me pay. I insist” he said, pushing his credit card closer to me.
No, you’re fiancé is only marrying you for money, trust me, you need the money more than I do. My mind screamed. “put it towards the wedding instead” I stated.
After arguing for a bit, her eventually gave up and said, “I’ll see you next Friday for our lesson. Loudly, a car horn blew. “Well, that’s my queue to exit. Thanks again for the lesson” he smiled, showing his bright white teeth.
