I wake up and can't see very well. 'Hello?' I say groggily and hoarsely. 'Gus! You're awake!' I don't even have to look to know that it's Hazel Grace. My favorite person in the world. 'Hazel Grace. Where am I?' 'Um, the hospital. The doctors saw that your cancer had come back in your upper leg. They had to cut off all but half an inch of your leg. You'll live though.' Thank God! I get to be with my Hazel Grace! 'Did I miss anything while I was out?' I look up to see she's tearing up. 'Come here.' I hold her close and she let out a sob. 'Isaac was in a crash with his mom and Graham {?}. He won't live much longer.' Well crap. I hit a button and a nurse came in. She was about to say something when I said, 'Please take me to my dying friend Isaac's room. My girlfriend here needs to see him.' Hazel let out a little gasp and said 'what' when I called her my girlfriend. I hope she will be mine.
