Chapter II

"Hello, Mr. Bernard."  Solomon growls. No sounds escape my mouth. Fear courses through my blood and clouds my thoughts. "Oh, no.. I'm not here to scare you." he chuckles. There's an edge to his laugh. An icy touch to it. I start to pull a pocket knife out of my sock, but flinch when I hear his voice again. "Heh, I wouldn't do that if I were you, kid." He turns the light on and walks into the room. His skin looks like stone.

I squint my eyes at him to absorb every detail that I can of him. Blood red eyes, pale skin, blood running down his chin that he licks up as soon as I see it. As I look up at his jet black hair that resembles mine, he grins and that's when I see them. Fangs.  Medium sized, bloody fangs.

"Your mother was very delicious. Only took me 10 seconds to run her dry." He says flaty.

"Are... are you..." I make an oval motion around my mouth with my index finger. He nods his head once.  I'm staring, he's glaring.

Solomon slowly moves towards me. "Joseph, you're strong. Intelligent. It would be a waste to kill you. Now that you know who and what I am, I have to recruit you. To the Bloodbath Army."He stares at me longer and harder.

'I will.' I think.

"Wise and excellent choice, Joseph." He whispers. The light turns off and I feel a breeze past my face. The next thing I know, I'm in pain and can't move.
