11 Years Later
“Princess Elsa!” One of the guards call from the other side of the door. I ignore him and snuggle up closer to my warm pillow.
“Princess Elsa!” I groan and sit up, rubbing the sleep from my eyes.
“Yes!” I call back, my voice raspy and deep.
“You have to get ready!” Ready for what? I wanna go back to sleep. I roll over and snuggle back into my warm moving pillow.
“Ready for what?” I yell back quickly hoping he would leave.
“It’s your Coronation!” My eyes pop open and I push Jack off the bed.
“I’m coming!” I get up and shuffle to the bathroom grabbing my dress on the way.
“Wha?” Jack sits up and looks around.
“Get ready, today is my big Coronation.” I smile at him at him and start unpinning my hair in front of the mirror.
“So you’re gonna become the Queen today huh? Time really does pass by quickly.” He runs his hands through his hair before putting his hand on my shoulder.
“Yup but right now you need to get out so I can take a shower.” I stand up on my tip toes and wrap my arms around his neck.
“Thank you Jack, for everything.” I pull away slightly and look into his light blue crystal eyes.
“It’s no problem really, we’ve known each other for forever.” He lays his forehead on mine just staring at me.
“Well it was nice having this chit chat but I’m serious now, shoo.” I push him out the door and lay on it before sliding my back down the door. Its been three years since my parents’ death and now I’m going to be in charge of the land they once ruled. I shake my head quickly before finishing unpinning my hair and stripping from my night gown.
I turn on the water and hop in showering quickly in the cold water. I reach for the towel but it seems I left it in my room or Jack just took it. I roll my eyes and get prepared to yell.
“JACK!” Jack rushes in the bathroom looking frazzled.
“Can you get me a towel?” I ask and give him the puppy dog face.
He bursts out laughing and uses his cane stick thing to get the towel from the top of my dresser.
“Here.” He pushes the door open and stretches his cane out towards me, handing me the towel.
“Stop laughing and go get changed, we have to practice with the candles and jewelry box before the Coronation.” Jack nods and starts walking out of the bathroom.
I dry quickly and wrap the towel around my body, shutting the bathroom door and putting on my dress. I stand in front of the mirror and start braiding my hair the way my mother taught me as a child. I stick my tongue out in concentration and finish up the braid, wrapping it around me head. When all the bobby pins are in place I step back and take a look at myself. Nodding, I walk out and head over to my desk grabbing my gloves and sliding them onto my hands.
“Jack, are you ready?” I turn around but stop dead in my tracks. He looks so handsome, I’m absolutely speechless.
“Jack, you look amazing.” I walk over to him and fix his blazer.
“I’m so happy I met you 11 years ago.” He says and smiles down at me.
“You know our friendship anniversary is coming up soon.” I say not looking up at him and concentrating on fixing his tie.
“Yea I know, how could I forget?” He puts his finger under my chin and lifts my face up, my eyes not moving away from the tie.
“Look at me for a second.” Jack insists and starts nudging my head, knowing how much it annoyed me.
“Wait I’m almost done.” I furrowed my eyebrows and looked up at him.
“What do you want?” I look at him and smile jokingly, making him roll his eyes,
“What do you want for our franniversary?” Jack tilts his head to the side and eyes me quickly.
“Also you look stunning as usual.” He smiles, making me blush like a mad woman and look away.
“Thank you and I don’t know surprise me.” His eyebrows shoot up and studies my face.
“You hate surprises.”
“Exactly.” I point at him and poke his nose before sitting down on the bed.
“Ugh, you’re so difficult.” Jack jumps on my bed and lays down, rolling over onto his side to look at me.
“You know, this is going to be the first time you see Anna in 11 years right?” He asks. I sigh and run my hands down my dress, straightening it out.
“Yea.” I answer and look down at him.
“You’re going to have to talk to her sooner or later.” He adds
“Lets stop talking about it. C’mon.” I stand up and pull his hand, making him stand up and tower over me. “Lets go before we’re late.” I smile and lead the way to the small auditorium.
This is going to be fun.
