Tia held her stomach as she vomited into the toilet, tears were rolling down her face as she listened to the news broadcast .. An inmate who she knew was Gee had escaped from Rikers Island but his body parts were found without the head floating in the Hudson River , she didn't know where it was and she didn't know if she wanted to know .. all she knew was that her best friend was gone ..

Flushing the toilet, she couldn't stop her tears from flooding her face.. Gee was the only person she had left in the world and now he was gone .. She kept running back everything in her head about what she could have done differently but she knew none of those things would bring him back .. She knew she was paying the price for not listening to him anyway which was a trait she had since she first arrived into his life, and little did him or her know that that was what was going to get him and possibly her killed!!

After all those years she just couldn't believe he was actually gone ..

Her phone was ringing off the hook, she was in one of her old penthouses but she wasn't planning on staying .. she was gonna skip town, and hop on the first flight out of whatever City she made it to.. She knew she wouldn't be satisfied until she had Aniya in her arms ..

It hurt her soul that she couldn't save Gee's kids too but she had plans on putting the word out that she was offering a ransom for whoever found them and returned them to her .. She would raise them in Gee's place ..

He made a deal with the Carters to release them so she knew they had to be roaming around New York somewhere..

Tired of hearing her phone ring she got up off of the bathroom floor and grabbed it from her bed ..

She had missed calls from a few of Gee's old homeboys, and a missed call from Megan ..

With her priority being her daughter she called Megan back first and sat down on the bed ..

"Tia !!" She said

"What's up ?" Tia sighed

"I think the nanny ran off with Aniya ?" She blurted out, her voice shaky

"What the fuck do you mean Megan ?!" Tia yelled as she stood up

"I've been trying to get in touch with you these last few days and I couldn't .. I came home and they weren't there, I haven't seen them .." Megan said as she cried

"Where the fuck could they be ? Did she leave a note ? A voicemail ? A ransom ? Any fuckin thing ?" Tia yelled

"No Tia ..they just disappeared .." Megan replied

Sighing, Tia felt tears rolling down her face "Megan, you get the fuck out there and look for my baby .. I told you to drop your gigs and get the fuck out of town, where the fuck is the security I told you to hire ?" She yelled

"Outside, I did everything you told me .. But they disappeared before I could take her away .." Megan said

"Do what the fuck I said, go find my child Megan or I swear that 's gonna be your ass .." She said

Disconnecting the call, Tia screamed as she picked up a nearby lamp and threw it into her balcony door causing it to shatter ..

She had a feeling she knew where Aniya was, but she needed to be sure before she jumped to any conclusions ..

Walking out on the balcony, she took some deep breaths before calling back one of Gee's old homeboys .. He went by the name of Biggie, and they had been cool every since she could remember, he answered the phone on the first ring, and his voice told her he didn't have any good news ..

"Wanna tell me where you at ?" He asked

"Now why would I do that ?" Tia asked

"It was a package delivered to my door step Tia with the initials CC on it, I'm guessing that's Carter Cartel, it's a envelope too .. but out of all the body parts they found in that river his head wasn't recovered so I'm not opening that damn box .. My kids here Tia, I don't know what the fuck you and Gee had goin on but leave me the fuck out of it .. Gee my guy, but come on man, the Cartel ?" He said

"Open the box .." Tia replied

"I said no, now you can come get the box .. but they left a number on the outside of it .. I'll give that to you, other than that ..I'm getting rid of this shit .. I don't want no affiliation !!" He said

"What's the fuckin number ?" She asked rolling her eyes ..

She wrote down the number, Biggie gave her.. Her hands were shaking, she just was praying they didn't have Aniya ..

"Can you at least open the envelope ?" Tia asked

Sighing, Biggie grabbed the envelope .. Tia heard him ripping it open, and after that pure silence ..

"What the fuck is it ?" She asked

"Damn .." He said

"What nigga ?!" She yelled

"Gee's kids, both of them .. shot execution style straight between the eyes .." He replied

"No.. no.. that's not right.. that can't be them .. they made an agreement they would let them go ..!!" She yelled

"And you believed them ? This them, I'm positive !!" He said

He could hear Tia scream on the other end of the phone ..

"What the fuck did ya'll do for them to be comin at ya'll so damn hard ?" He asked

But before Tia could answer she disconnected the call and called the number Biggie gave her ..

The line wrung twice before Tia heard a familiar voice, it was Aniya's nanny's voice.. and she broke down crying ..

"Don't cry now .. where are you ?" Jessica asked

"Where's Aniya ?" Tia asked

"She's right here.." Putting the phone to Aniya's mouth, Tia cried harder as she listened to her babygirl makes noises into the phone

"Don't hurt her please .." She begged

"Where the fuck was your sorry ass tears when you was poisoning unborn baby's Tia ?" Jessica asked

Crying harder, Tia broke down to her knees .. She had a bad feeling about it but she knew she'd have to face her fate eventually .. her babygirls life depended on it ..

"Don't hurt her, I'm on my way .." Tia replied

"Hurry the fuck up .." Jessica said right before disconnecting the call

Tia didn't know what was about to happen but she was sure she was going to die, and she wasn't even for sure they weren't gonna hurt Aniya.. but she was praying like hell they wouldn't ..

She reminded herself that that was the very reason she didn't want kids, in the life she lived .. Kids could be used against you as a weakness, and that's exactly what was happening ..

Calling Megan back, Tia waited for her to answer ..

"Hello" She said, Tia could tell she had been crying

"Megan, I need you to come get Aniya .." She said

"You found her ?!" Megan replied

"Yes, come now .. I'll text you the address, just make sure you go get her Megan .." Tia said

"Okay but what about you ?" She asked

"Don't worry about me .." Tia replied right before disconnecting the call ..

Texting Megan the address she went into her bedroom and took out a prescription of Xanax.. popping two she walked out of the room and headed back to the hotel..
