Summary:

He let out a frustrated groan. "One day," he said, "one day you'll realize you're taking me for granted. And you’ll fall helplessly in love with me."

"I highly doubt that." I looked out the window. That would never happen, I kept telling myself, it would never happen. ------ When Kyla Evans was dumped by her best friend-slash-boyfriend, Cedric, she was devastated. Convinced that her whole life came tumbling down, she promised that she would definitely get back at him, seeking nothing but revenge. She abandoned her glasses and sweatshirts, determined to make Cedric regret ever dumping her. What she wants: Revenge. How she’s planning to get it: By going out with the school’s biggest player; the person her ex-boyfriend loathes the most— Seth Everett.

Personal Opinions: It's a fantastic book. I can literally feel through both the words in the story and the authors notes that this was well planned ahead of time. There was very little 'on the spot' decisions in the story. In addition -- I actually FELT the story a bit. I'm generally not a very emotional reader. I don't cry at sad parts or squeal during happy ones. But I did find myself giggling, frowning, on the brink of tears, AND doing what I would like to call.. my shimmy giggle. (Where I get so excited that I... wiggle, but I don't make any noises... Don't question. Just accept.). Besides just that, the author took realism into a huge effect here. She didn't have two characters immediately fall in love. She made it extremely, extremely realisitc. She understood that if someone has a crush on someone else they don't just run up and scream it to their faces. She understands that love can be a touchy thing and that it needs to build before it can 'suddenly' happen. And that is one of the major reasons why I love this book: She makes it feel so... real.
