The New Beginning

Chapter 5- The Accident:

Jonah first instinct was to protect Alex. He jumped in front of him taking both impacts of the air bag. When they Alex awoke he had broken both legs and a few ribs. He sat up and groaned

"Where's Jonah?" He asked the nurse groggily

"Down the hall in intensive care he isn't doing to well..."

Alex got in the wheel chair and wheeled himself down to the room in a panicky manor. Once he reached the room he entered. He read Jonah's condition off the chart on the wall:

•Broken ribs

• Broken collar bone

•Coma

Jonah was in a coma. Alex sat by his side weeping softly, the nurse had called his friend Alexandria back on the hospital's phone after seeing multiple missed calls from her on his and informed her in his situation she quickly rushed to the hospital. Alex had never much liked her; She made him jealous. When she entered she began to cry and had brought a 'Get Better Soon!' Teddy beat for Jonah. Alex couldn't stand the sight of her really so he wheeled back to his room. He was discharged that day but Jonah remained in his coma.

After a few days of being unconscious Jonah came through glancing around his room hazily. The blurry image of Alexandria finally cleared enough for him to make out whom it was.

"Alexandria?..." Jonah groaned a little as he pushed himself up into a sitting position.

"Yes, it's me..." She whispered. Jonah could tell she'd been crying by her runny mascara stained cheeks.

"Wh-Wh-What happened? Where's Alex?..." Jonah rubbed his eyes trying to recollect the accident. Alexandria quickly explained that Alex had already been discharged as his injuries weren't nearly as severe.

So I'm trying to write more now and literally mean it this time so many apologies on the huge delays. ~A.V.
