As soon as the vehicle came to a stop, the boys made a quick dash towards the entrance of a sort of water park type place, dragging poor Haruhi-Kun along with them. They didn't even wait long enough for the driver to exit the vehicle himself to open the door for us.
I could've asked the driver to take me home right then and there, but curiosity got the better of me, and I stepped out of the vehicle into the warm sunlight.
"You're here, too?" A voice said from behind me as I watched the limo pull out of the rather large parking lot. I wondered why the owner of this establishment, whoever it was, built such a large parking area along with it. Surely something better could've been done with all that extra space.
I turned around to face the person who had spoken to me and stopped in my tracks as I did so. The blonde hair was catching the sun's light in a way that made it sparkle. His violet eyes gleamed with excitement and anticipation, though what for, I had no clue. The grin on his face made me remember the scene from earlier, where he randomly started spinning me around in circles while calling himself 'Daddy' like a pervert.
"Tamaki-Senpai." I bowed my head slightly before quickly pushing past him, heading in the direction in which I had seen my brother's drag Haruhi-Kun. Having a conversation, no matter how short, with that creep was not on my to-do list.
"Hey!" The blonde called out a few seconds of silence. "Wait for me! We'll go in together!"
"No thanks!" I began to dash forward, hearing his footstep turn from a walk into a run. "I'm good on my own!"
Of course, my fast-paced strides weren't fast enough to get entirely away from him. It was almost as if he had more practice than I had... Which, considering all the time I spent laid up in bed, I didn't doubt at all. It was just very inconvenient for my current situation.
Not paying attention to where I was going, just to how fast I was going, wasn't the best of plans. I tripped over something, not sure what it was, and ended up landing hands and knees to the ground. Or, I would have, if a person hadn't been standing there. Accidentally knocking him over, we both landed on the ground with an "Oof".
Tamaki-Senpai gasped loudly. "What are those dastardly twins doing with my daughter?" He yelled and dashed off into the facility where the other three had disappeared into, leaving me and whoever was underneath me alone to deal with this awkward situation ourselves.
When I finally regained my senses, I pushed myself up and off the person underneath me, who hadn't hadn't yet spoken up. "I'm so sorry!" I exclaimed as I stood and helped him back up. "I should have been paying attention to where I was going! Oh, why wasn't I paying attention?" I mumbled the last part in English to myself. "You're not hurt, are you?"
"Luckily, I don't believe any harm was done." The black haired second year from earlier replied, replacing his glasses on his head after they were knocked off in the fall. "And it seems as though Tamaki didn't notice, so I don't think my reputation is at stake, either."
I didn't know why his reputation had any part in this, but I decided not to ask. Sometimes, not knowing is better than fretting over the knowledge that something not-so-great might happen.
"I'm Kyoya, by the way." He said, picking up his back book and writing something in it.
"Huh?"
"I don't think we had ever been properly introduced." He replied, continuing to scribble in his notebook. I would have to find out what kind of things he kept in that book someday. "Ootori Kyoya, of the Ootori Group. I presume you have heard of us?"
I had heard of the Ootori Group once or twice. It was inevitable that I had, considering how long I had been in and out of hospitals and doctor's offices and the like. They weren't very well known in the American medical field, but some of their top-notch medical supplies were used in saving my life, and the lives of many others, on multiple occasions.
