That evening, I called mum but her phone was switched off and that was a bit strange.
"Dylan. When did mum and dad tell you they were going out?" I asked leaning by his door.
"On Friday when we got back from school but it was actually a text." He said but then thought for a while. "Don't you think it is kind of strange that there was no call?" He asked.
"Yeah, I was just thinking the same thing when I came here to ask you."I shrugged trying to be casual. I am sure I am just being paranoid. "I am sure they are okay" I was trying to convince myself.
The next day, Dylan and I went to a nearby church for mass and soon we were back home. The rest of Sunday went by in a blur with me trying to do some chores and some cooking.

"Hurry up" Dylan yelled from downstairs. I think it is going to be like this every morning now. I ran down the stairs very fast with my school bag bouncing along with me.( PS. I am not excited to get to school. Please don't get it twisted. I just really don't like being late and probably earning a few more hoursr in school.(detention)."Mum and Dad are going to be back today" I squealed excitedly as I got into his car.
"Yeah Thank God. An end to your terrible cooking" Dylan muttered while climbing into the driver's seat.
"I heard that and no, my cooking is AMAZING" I yelled the last part in his ear for him to get the point.
"Sheesh woman. Calm down" Dylan said covering his right ear.
We drove off to school and separated to our....how do I put this? To our different callings. I walked towards my locker and found Jenny who was excitedly texting someone at her locker.
"Hey. Jenny" I said and waved my hands in her face. She looked up and smiled at me.
"Hey Ron. So yeah, I was just texting Ian. He got my number from his 'Sources' and started texting me yesterday." She squealed.
"Woaw. That's awesome." I smiled along with her and gave her a hug. "But be careful. He is still a player. If he ever hurts you, I will give it back to him in ten folds" (AN: Yeah.. lame but I don't want my character swearing too much. Trust me, that could have gone much worse) .
She sighed and rolled her eyes. "Yeah yeah. I am not a novice here. I have been in this school longer than you so I know. Besides, I don't even think he likes me." She said. Poor girl. So clueless.. so cute. She grabbed my wrist and started pulling me with her. "Let's go" She said as soon as the first bell rang.
"Wait a sec. let me grab my stuff." I said and opened my locker getting out my English notes.

School went by really fast. I came in contact with Reece a few times and he just gave me a nod of acknowledgement. He is my friend now. But why does my heart clench hearing that from myself?"Hey Roo" I heard a very familiar voice and turned around and I was caught by surprise at how close I was to him that I stumbled back and hit my head slightly at my locker.
"Jeez. Are you okay?" He asked coming closer and cupping my cheek to direct my head to show the part where I had hit with the locker.
"URHH..S-sure" I stuttered. I don't really know about people invading my private bubble. He stayed put for a while still looking at the back of my head before looking back at my face. As if realizing what he had been doing, he dropped his hands and scratched the back to his neck nervously while offering one of his awesome smiles.
