It was an ordinary day, the sun was up and the birds were chirping. It was spring so the flowers were blooming and the snow was slowly melting. The kids of the neighborhood were running along the path, having a grand old time. The mothers were off doing their housily task while the fathers were off to work making money for the family. The eldest child, depending on their age, were either helping the mother with her tasks or out finding a job to fill their free time and pay some expenses. The middle child, if they had more than one, was at school learning the difficulties of the world. Finally, the youngest child would be playing in the sun with the other children, enjoying their youth. This was the same for every family in the town, it was a small town of a small population.

She was the middle child, her older sister turned 18 this year and was moving on to make her own family. She was 14 meaning she still went to school but had to work at home since technically she is now the eldest. Her little sister, Clody was a young, happy child. She spent her days playing in the yard. Something she misses dearly. Her name was Rose, she was in her 3rd year of school out of 5. That day she wore a blue flower patterned dress, her black hair was put up in a ponytail and she was ready for the hard day ahead of her. She attended North DP High school for the kids in this town. Rose hated her school, it was a waste of time, no one needed 7 hours to learn life problems, we could just do it in life itself she always said. The only thing Rose loves about that ugly building is her friends. Mark, Layla, and Steven, her best friend Layla and her started school in their first year, then they met Mark and she brought Steven, Rose's crush.

Steven was a boy with many talents, he is the smartest in the class, the most athletic and the most friendly. He has brown hair and beautiful black eyes, that are like a stary night. Rose couldn't help the fact that she liked him, who wouldn't, he was perfect. Steven has a girlfriend at the time of this particular day, she was a bitch in Roses' eyes, she had bleach blond hair, vicious blue eyes, and a curvy figure. She didn't like Rose and her friends but still stuck around because she wants to be around her Stevypie as she calls him. After getting ready for the day, eating breakfast and finishing her daily task, Rose was off to school. The 30-minute bus ride over, she walked into the school and met up with the other 4.

"Hey Rose, how was your weekend?" Mark asked the girl.

"It was fine, mother made me work extra but I'm fine with it," Rose told the blond. She looked away from Mark and saw Steven and Iris were smooching, gross.

"Can you believe them, public display of affection, get a room" Layla started with a whisper the proceeded with yelling. I giggled while Iris rolled her eyes.

"Stevypie I'll see you later," She said with heart eyes swaying her hips. Iris left and Steven came over to us.

"I thought you had more class than that" Layla said with discussed.

"Lay off, you don't know her like I do" He defends her. Rose rolls her eyes and looks away.

"Oh hey Rose, nice dress" Steven complimented her, Rose's face burned red.

"T-thank you," Rose said looking away.

"Huh, are you okay Rose, your face is red?" He asks concern filling his eyes.

"I'm fine Steven, just need to get some water" I explain running away. OMI why did he compliment me? I hid in the bathroom until the bell rang, Layla came a few minutes later.

"Rose are you okay?" She asked knocking at the door.

"Do I really look sick when I blush?" I ask her, she shook her head.

"Sweety, you look normal, Steven is just to blind by that fake barbie to notice your feelings," She says hugging me.

"I know but it hurts," I say letting a tear fall, she leaves the hug and we go to class. Why are boys so stupid?

~Lunch~

Class was over, Rose, Layla, Mark, Steven and of course Iris went to their usual table since Steven is popular and wants to hang out with his friends, the other 3 need to sit with the other stupid jocks.

"So Rose, we were wondering if you wanted to come over tonight to do homework?" Mark asked the girl.

"Okay I'll be there at 5 pm, mom probably wants me to do more work, then I can manage," She told her friends.

"Yay I don't need to do homework" Layla cheered, Rose glared at her.

"Did I say that out loud?" She asked Mark nodded.

"Oops, sorry Rose" She looked down, Rose smiled.

"It's fine, oh look isn't that Jeffrey?" She teased her friends, Layla looked in that direction and blushed.

"He should totally come join us," Rose said, Layla, shook her head.

"Hey Jeffrey, come here" Mark called him over, I high fived him. Jeffory looked our way and smiled.

"I hate you both" Layla groaned.

"Hey guys" Jeffory sat down and started talking to Mark. Layla stared at them the whole time and I looked around the cafeteria. People were eating, others standing and the others fooling around, mostly the jocks. My eyes drift to Steven and Iris, they were smooching again. I sighed, I wish I was there sitting beside him getting his love. Iris saw me stare and gave me the eyes, shit I'm going to pay later.

~After school~

School was finally over which was a bittersweet thing, first class is over and I can finally stop listening to teachers. Second, I need to go home and do more labor and this before I can even go home, I need to face a beating from Iris and her crew. How can I be so stupid, I was 'googling' as she calls it at her man.

"Hey, loser you ready to be punched until you bleed?" I heard her annoying voice.

"Why do you do this Iris, I've told you Steven is my friend I don't like him like that" I lie to make her stop.

"Shut it, he's mine you need to deal with it bitch" She yelled approaching me.

"Plz I wasn't looking I swear" I plead for my life.

"Oh please, you so were," She said throwing the first punch, then another and five more. It hurt so bad, I can't even explain it the pain was so much that I fell to the floor and she began kicking me.

"Face it, Rose, he will never love an ugly piece of trash like you," She said, her comments hurt more than her kicks.

"You're a fat loser, you should just die," she said kicking me one last time and jabbing her heal into my eyes. The worse thing is I need to go home like this. After that, she left with her crew of course and I was left alone with my thoughts.

"Why does she hate me? How can Steven love a girl like her? Am I really a piece of trash? He would never love me" I muttered before getting up and going home. Time to face my mother.
