She was a woman, she had lushes raven hair and wild blue eyes. She was 21 when she met him, he was a man with sunshine blond hair and calm blue eyes. He was 23 when he met her. It happened at a cafe, she's been working at that cafe for a year now. The cafe was a small one on the street of Birchwood. It was a nice cafe, build for close, humble people. That day, was a Friday, she was on her second shift, the one before closing time. She was almost done with her last customer when he walked in. It was raining outside and the man was soaked, he found the cafe with the lights still on and decided to use it as shelter. He walked in with the sound of the bell, everyone's head turned seeing the man walk in.
"I'm sorry sir but we are closing," The owner said.
"Oh I'm sorry, it's just that it's poring and I needed to get out of that rain," He said about to leave.
"Let him stay," She said to her boss.
"But Y/N, we are closing," She said.
"I'll stay with him until it's clear to go, you can go but I'm staying: She told the boss and brought the man to a table.
"Fine but you aren't getting paid extra" The boss grumbled and left.
"I'm sorry about her, she's just tired of the long day anyway can I get you anything?" She asked him, he smiled and took off his hood, revealing his blond hair.
"Can I have a hot chocolate, white chocolate, and a red velvet muffin?" He said ordering his favorite snack.
"You like those two?" She asked happy to know she isn't the only one.
"I thought I was the only one," He said taking off his coat. Y/N looked at the man, she has to admit he is hot, his blonde hair and those captivating blue eyes.
"So tell me, what is a man like you doing out there in the rain?" She asked him, giving him his order.
"Would you believe a nice drink and meal at a local cafe?" He said, she looked at him, he sighed.
"Fine, tomorrow is my daughter birthday, she's turning 8 and she wants this really rare toy that only sells in this part of town, sadly the store is close and I got stuck in the rain" He explains, 'he has a daughter, great he's married' Y/N though.
"That explains why you are in this part of town, in a suit" She laughs at her comment, he blushed.
"I was running late but now I don't have a gift for her and she's going to be so disappointed" He looked down upset.
"What was the toy and what store?" She asked him, he looked at her.
"An Aphmau cat plushy at-" She cut him off knowing the store.
"At cupcake Inc, I know the place, I could help you," She said, the man's face lit up then frowned.
"Thank you for the kind offer but I couldn't ask of you to-" She smiled at him.
"You don't have to pay me, I know the guy who owns the store, plus I want to make a little girl smile," She told him, he was hesitant but agreed.
"So what about you, why is a woman who works her but off that should be finished with her shift, staying here with a stranger and offering him to get the toy for his daughter?" He asked her.
"Well, I can't let you stay in the rain, I also can't make a little girl cry," She said smiling warmly at him.
"You have a big heart you know that right?" He said, she nodded.
"I don't like to see people struggle, I help anyone I can, that is how I have two puppies in my home" She explains, he tilted his head.
"Two puppies?" He looked confused.
