Savannah's POV-

“She was a 'popular girl' so one day, she stopped talking to me at school and I went home and thought about killing myself.” Zayn gasped, “NO!”. I nodded yes, “I was gonna OD on Nyquill but, then I went for a run, and found my best friend Brendan.” Zayn let out the deep breath I could tell he had been holding in for a while. “Yeah I bumped into him, and he was carrying a lacrosse stick, so we started talking about lacrosse, and our personality's just clicked. I'm so thankful for finding him.” Zayn smiled, “I'm glad too! Because then I wouldn't be talking to you right now!” Zayn laughed a little. “Yeah then I saw him at school the next day, then Erin started talking to me again, then like I became who I am now” I smiled, “I just look back on it, kinda like being somebody I used to know”

Zayn then began telling me about his story, I can't even put up with one sister, and he has 3. “I get so frustrated when my little sister sees me smoke. It's like I'm setting a bad example for her” he started to tear up, “But the boys are really helping me quit, and I guess I'm thankful for that” his teary eyes clashed with his half smile. “At least your putting forth an effort” I rubbed his shoulder. “Yeah” his half smile turned to a real smile. There was an awkward silence, then I started humming 'Someone Like You' by Adele, he started harmonizing. Ah, I'm a sucker for harmonies. “Do you sing?” Zayn asked me. “A little, but I'm really bad...” I looked down, and smirked. “You probably don't” Zayn tilted my chin up, “Sing for me” he smiled.

After tons of hesitation, and taking in breaths I finally started. “I'm not surprised not everything lasts, I've broken my heart so many times I've stopped keeping track” my voice was shaky, and I kept singing. I heard Zayn whisper, “Haven't Met You Yet by Michael Buble” then he smiled. “And I tried so very hard not to lose it, I came up with a million excuses, and I thought I though of every possibility. Mmmm someday I know it will all work out” I sang, just watching Zayn's eyes light up made me smile. His eyes were so beautiful, deep, brown, mysterious. I know he had a deeper story that just the little breif almost chapter he told me, but I didn't need to know. “I just haven't met you yet! There I'm done.” I made my pout face. “Your amazing!” Zayn said taking my hands, “Have you ever thought about trying out for the X-Factor?” he asked me. “Yeah, but I have horrid stage fright!” I looked into his eyes. “I don't believe that” he looked into mine too.

We sat there, just smiling at each other for so long, it felt like forever. But I finally broke the silence, “Well its almost 10, dang you've been here all day. I should probably get some rest. Talk to you later?” I said, trying not to sound rude. “Yeah” he said, sliding off of my bed. “Bye” he kissed my cheek and walked out the door. After he left my mouth slowly rose to a smile, “I kind of liked that” I said to myself.
