Ch. 1, The Start of a Bad Week

Birds chirped outside awakening king eddie, he look over and smiles at his beautiful wife, queen paige, who he loves more than anything. He softly kisses her forehead as she continues sleeping. He then gets out of bed and brushes his teeth, then he sits down reviewing some paperwork. Paige then starts to awake. "Good morning sleeping beauty." Eddie says while smiling. Paige laughs and smiles, "Good morning darling." She goes to brush her teeth, and starts to realize she has a very uncomfortable headache. She exits the bathroom holding her head and looking glum. "Darling, what is wrong?" Eddie says approaching her looking concerned. "Nothing, i just have a headache." Paige replies. "Oh no, that's not fair for my gorgeous, perfect wife to have a headache." he says putting his hands around her waist. "Oh eddie." she replies smiling, as eddie leans in to kiss her on the lips passionately. "What can i do to help?" he asks. "You don't have to do anything for me sweetheart, i'll be alright." Paige replies again, headed to go get dressed, and eddie does the same. "We have the fall banquet today, are you sure you'll be alright? Eddie asks. "Yes, i think so." she says. "Okay well let me know if you need to leave, and i'd be glad to escort you back." he remarks. "Thanks love" she replies from the closet. Eddie comes out straightening his tie in the mirror. Paige comes out in a beautiful red dress. "Oh. My. Gosh. You look incredibly stunning!" Eddie says. "Aww thanks babe, and you look incredibly handsome." she remarks. Eddie embraces her and kisses her passionately. "Ready to go?" Paige asks. "You're sure you're alright? he asks once more. "I'm fine." Paige smiles and kisses him once more.

They travel down the halls to the fall banquet engaging each others hands. Zoren greets them, "My fellow queen and king! How are you on this fine day?" "Doing quite well!" adds eddie. Zoren opens the door for them, and they enter a room filled with people. They go around making conversation with people. The queen and king of england William and Kate meet up with them, William talking to Eddie and Kate talking to Paige. "Paige! Eddie! It is so nice to finally meet again." William adds. "Indeed it is! How are you?" Kate says. "Quite well i must say!" eddie says. "Yes we've been along fine! How about you guys?" Very well, life with a baby just makes life so amazing!" As eddie and william continue their conversation, kate pulls paige away and walks off. "So tell me darling, how has it been being the queen of denmark? must feel amazing!" Kate asks. "It has already been such a wonderful journey, i love it!" paige answers. "Eddie is a very lucky man i can tell." she says. "I think i may be the lucky one, to have a husband that always worry's, loves, and cares for me in the most romantic way." Paige adds. "Such a sweet couple you are." Kate says. Suddenly, paige feels nauseous, though her headache was gone. She turned pale, and her heart pounded unsure of what was happening. "Paige, are you okay? you look very unwell." Asks kate. "I'm sorry, would you please excuse me?" Paige runs out of the room. "Oh dear." Kate goes back to william and eddie. "Is something wrong with 

paige? she suddenly turned pale and ran out of the room." asks kate. Eddie freezes for a moment, worried about paige. "Oh no, please excuse me." Eddie says and runs out of the building.

Paige runs through the halls but slows to a walk falling on the wall. Zoren sees. "Oh my gosh! My queen what is happening?" "I'm gonna pass out!" She says panicking tears welling in her eyes. "It's going to be alright Paige! Just try to stand but lean on the wall, maybe it will help." He helps her to a stand. Eddie sprints through the halls, "Paige!" "Paige!" Zoren calls, "Eddie over here!" Eddie runs around the corner and when he sees paige, looking like she's gonna blackout his heart drops and he runs to her taking her in his arms. "Paige what wrong!" he worriedly asks. Paige is breathing heavily still tears down her face. "I don't know what's happening i'm gonna pass out!" she starts to fall. "We've got to get her to a hospital! She's collapsing!" Eddie yells. Zoren says, "I will call a car right now!" Eddie adds very worriedly, "Paige it's gonna be okay!" he kisses her head and immediately picks her up bridal style and runs to the car.

Once they arrive at the hospital, they set paige in a bed and hook her up to an IV. Eddie has to wait outside, but soon he is called in. "How is she?! What's wrong with her?!" Eddie asks the doctor. "She was lacking oxygen for some odd reason, very rare. She's gonna need to stay here a couple days. It's not majorly bad but it's not minorly bad either." The doctor leads him to the room with paige alone.
He crouches by her side holding her hand. "I'm so sorry darling." He whispers and kisses her forehead.

Minutes later, Paige awakes. "Eddie?" she says quietly. "Paige! How are you feeling?" eddie asks.  "Not very well unfortunately." she says with a frown and a tear starts falling down her face. Eddie stands up and sits on the edge of the bed heart broken. Seeing paige miserable killed him. He takes her hands. "Oh baby, i'm so sorry, i should've been looking out for you more." he wipes away her tears. "You can't blame yourself sweetheart, this isn't your fault." she says through tears putting her hand on the side of his face. "But i should've been there for you the moment you felt bad. i'm so sorry darling." eddie remarks. "It's okay babe." replies Paige. Eddie kisses her passionately.

The next day Paige is released from the hospital. She arrived with great relief from fellow guards and friends.
