Ch. 2, The Taking

Eddie and Paige walk through the halls to their room, his arm around her waist, glad that they are back. "Your majesties! You're back! Paige how are you feeling?" Zoren asks. "I'm feeling better, thank you. And also thanks so much for helping me when i had collapsed zoren." paige responds. "It's no problem at all, oh my, thank goodness i found you for i have no idea what would've happened if you were just by yourself." Zoren replies. "I'm so grateful!" Paige remarks smiling. "So how are you holding up Eddie? You must've been stressed to the highest level worried." Zoren asks. "Of course, i was so worried about her but thank god she is okay." Eddie adds smiling at Paige. Her and eddie then head up to their room. They walk in and Paige sits down on the bed organizing some papers that were scattered on it. Eddie walks over and kneels in front of paige and takes her hands while she was still sitting on the edge of the bed. "Darling i am so sorry for everything you've been through. It breaks my heart to see you suffer." Eddie says. "Eddie you have nothing to apologize for. You are such an amazing husband and king and i love you so much, thank you for always being there for me." Paige replies. "i love you so much paige morgan." Eddie says. "i love you so much eddie." Paige says. He gives her a lengthy kiss on the lips. "I have to go down and review some paper work with the minister, will you be okay on your own for about an hour love?" Eddie asks. "Of course." Paige replies. "Okay be back soon." eddie says as he kisses her forehead and walks out the door.

Paige layed down on the bed and closed her eyes, however she felt pretty restless so instead she got up and looked at old photos of eddie and her. Without even noticing, two men dressed in all black slipped through the window. Unfortunately, eddie had left at the wrong time again. One of the men held his hand over paige's mouth so she couldn't be heard and the other man tied her hands together. They left without being seen, through the window.

They put paige in the back seat of the car and drove off immediately. Zoren barely sees them, but when they drive off he screams. "THE QUEEN! NOOOOOO SOMEONE HELP THE QUEEN WAS TAKEN!" Zoren screams. One of the men in the passenger seat takes off the handkerchief they tied around her mouth. "Don't you dare scream." he says. "They call me Derek. Also we won't be referring to you as "your highness" or "your majesty" because WE are your majesties now." he says. "This here is Austin." Austin starts to talk. "Pleased to make your acquaintance ma'am... NOT!" Paige has a horrified and angry look on her face. "You two will not get away with this!" she screams. "What... is your king/husband gonna come to your rescue? Cause from what we know he has no idea where you are." Derek says with a smirk. The look paige has on her face look as if she has just realized there was no hope.

Zoren runs through the halls informing people that the queen has been kidnapped and he needed help. Meanwhile Eddie is talking to the minister. "Well thank you for your time eddie now we will be all organized for our next press meeting!" remarks the minister. "It is my pleasure." Eddie replies. Suddenly they hear gasps all around and little words like "the queen!" or "we have to help find her!" Eddie starts to wonder. "What are they saying?" Eddie asks. The minister replies,"i'm not sure, too many people talking at once. Then Zoren comes sprinting out of nowhere. "EDDIE PAIGE WAS KIDNAPPED! SHE HAS BEEN TAKEN!" Zoren screams. Eddies face was one never seen before, sad, scared, angry, he felt like a huge weight was just dropped from him and his heart had dropped. Eddie says, "WHAT?!? No please say this isn't true!" he sprints up to their room. "Paige!? Paige?!" he yells, and then right after that moment he sees the window wide open. "no... no no no this can't be happening." he covers his face with his hands. "We have to go look for her now." he says sternly. "Get some security guards and all the help you can get." he demands. "When was the last time you saw her?" he asks Zoren. "I just barely caught two men all in black shoving her in the back seat of a car. Her wrists were tied together and they had a handkerchief tied over her mouth. They drove off and disappeared immediately!" Zoren replies. "Oh my gosh my poor wife. She's been through way to much lately and of course... i wasn't here for her when this happened." Eddie replies as his eyes fill with tears. Zoren puts a hand on his shoulder. "Eddie you are not to blame at all, you know paige wouldn't blame you, she loves you more than anything, as do you, you didn't know this would happen." Zoren says. "Let's just go search for her." Eddie responds and speed walks out the door.

Meanwhile, Derek and Austin take Paige to a two story building. They take her inside and tie her to a chair and take off her hanker-chief around her mouth . Paige keeps her head facing down very upset. "So princess we haven't exactly told you the plan we've got for ya." Derek says with another one of his evil smirks. Austin speaks,"Really what you have to do is give us all the answers to the questions we ask. Or else...." Then Paige speaks,"Or else what?!"..."I don't know. You'll just have to find out." Replies Austin. They leave the room and lock the door. Tears roll down paige's face, she feels terrible that eddie is probably worried sick about her and she is scared to the moon and back. She figures eddie will be trying to find her so she prays. "Dear lord, i'm terribly scared of what these men are gonna do. I pray that i will be found and you will help lead me away from these cruel men. Amen." Tears roll down her face more. "Oh eddie i'm so sorry."

In the car, Eddie and Zoren drive in the direction of the car, they get out after about 20 miles to see if there are any clues. "I don't believe this, this is just unbelievable, she's probably scared to death and who knows what's gonna happen to her." Eddie says glumly. Zoren replies,"We will find her, i know it." They search around for clues but find nothing. More cars come and security guards search for clues.
