The New Girl (an O2L fanfiction)

Chapter 5

*Mckenzie's POV*

*BEEP BEEP*

School. No. Not today. Please. I've been dreading this day ever since we moved here.

I slowly get out of bed. I hop in the shower. I pick out my high waisted light washed jeans. Then I throw on my guns n roses T shirt.

I check my phone and see some blocked number had called me when I was in the shower. I ignore it and head for the door, before I realize that my hairs still wet. I blow dry it and put it in a ponytail.

I run out the door and into my car. I drive to school. As I pull into the school parking lot, I see those same boys I saw at the resteraunt. Great.

I casually walk by them but tripped and fell into some one. It was the guy that was staring at me in the resteraunt. His eyes are so dreamy.

"Sorry." I said really quietly

"Haha it's ok." He giggled.

"Well bye" I ran to my first period and my face was bright red. I heard him say something to me but I didn't bothering listening.

When I got to my first period all the girls were giving me dirty looks except one girl. I go to sit in the very back next to that girl.

"Hi I'm Emily are you new here"

"Yeah. I don't really know anyone."

"Well now you do! What's your name."

"Mckenzie. So how long have you been going to this school?"

"Since 9th grade. I've lived here all my life. I saw you talking to those boys outside. The dirty blonde one's name is Connor. He's my boyfriend. And the one you stumbled into.... Is JC. He's a very nice guy."

"Oh, haha yeah. He seems nice."

This girl with brownish hair with brown eyes walked in the room and sat next to Emily.

"Hey gurlllll" the girl said.

"Hey wazzupp" Emily said.

"This is Daphne. She's pretty cool." Emily said

"Hey daphne." I said shyly.

"Hey! Are you new here? I haven't seen you before." Daphne questioned

"Yeah I just moved here."

"That's cool!"

This boy walks in with white and brown hair. He sneaks behind Daphne and hugs her. Guess they're dating. Come to think of it he was in that group too.

"Hey Kian." Daphne giggles.

"Hey babe, I missed you."

"Missed you too." He pecks her on the cheek and class starts.

When I got to my 2nd period, I saw the boy that I stumbled into. He was already staring over here. I quickly sat down. I didn't see Emily, Daphne, Or Kian here. Great.

He walked over and sat next to me.

"Hey, I never really introduced myself. I'm JC. What's your name?"

"M-Mckenzie." I said with a stutter.

"Mckenzie... I like that name." He smiles the most beautiful smile.

Class starts. I look over at JC as our teacher is blabbering. He's already looking, and he doesn't look away. He just... Smiles.

After 2nd, I went to lunch. I spotted Emily and Daphne with their boyfriends and went over to say hi.

"Hey Mckenzie! Wanna sit with us?" Emily asks.

"Sure." I said quietly.

"Mckenzie right? My boi JC was talking about you the other day. I think he likes you or something. Haven't seen him that happy in years."

"Me? Why would he like someone like me?. I'm not that pretty."

"Well he thinks you're gorgeous. Not gonna blame him." Daphne punches him in the shoulder but they both laugh.

"Um thanks haha." I say shyly.

"Hey Connor can you go get me some food?" Emily says.

"Anything for you." He pecks her on the cheek and goes into the lunch line.

JC walks over to our table.

"Hey man!" Kian shouts.

"Hey what's up." He doesn't really pay attention to Kian cause he's staring right at me.

"Can I sit here?" He asks kinda shyly.

"Sure." I say so quiet. I move my book bag and he sits so close to me.

Connor comes back and gives Emily her food.

"Hey man! When did you get here?" Connor asks JC excitedly.

"Just a few minutes ago. I thought I should get to know Mckenzie a little better." Connor gives him a look.

"So what do you wanna know about me. I'm pretty boring." I say

"I highly doubt that. Umm, where'd you move from?"

"Boston. But so far I like LA way better."

"No way! I lived In Boston for a year or two. It's pretty cool up there."

"Haha yeah it's pretty cool."

A blocked number called me as JC was talking about his dog wishbone.

"Sorry I have to take this. They called me this morning and I wanna make sure it's not my friend or someone."

"Yeah that's fine I don't mind." He smiles.

( M= me, I= Ian )

M: Hello?

I: Hey Mckenzie, i missed you.

M: who is this?

I: Come on you don't remember me?

M: Ian?...

I: knew you remembered.

I hung up. My heart is beating so fast. How did he get my new number.

"Hey you ok?" JC asks concernd.

"Yeah I'm just gonna get some fresh air." I run out of the cafeteria and head outside. I get a text.

I know you missed me too. I'll be waiting for you. - Ian
