Chapter 10

Jc's POV
Mckenzie was asleep in her room so I decided to plan how to ask her to the Valentine's dance. I asked Trevor and Sam to help me. Trevor's been acting a little weird towards her but I guess that's just how he is.

"Do you want anything to eat or drink Jc?" Mckenzie's mom asked. "No thank you. I'm actually going to head down to the park after mckenzie wakes up. I wanted to surprise her by asking her to the Valentine's dance."

"Awe Jc she's gonna be so happy!!" Mckenzie's mom said excitedly.

Mckenzie came down and we talked a little. I texted Trevor and Sam and they were already at the park. I left Mckenzie's house and ran off to the park. My stomach felt so weird. I guess I was just really nervous.

Mckenzie's POV
I ran up to my room and straightened my hair. Then I put on this floral dress from pacsun, and these really comfy Chinese shoes from urban outfitters. I grabbed my penny board and went to the park. I didn't see anyone at first but then I saw Jc. He was holding a bouquet of roses.

"Hey Mckenzie. Will you go to the Valentine's dance with me?" He smiled so big.

"Jc of course!" I ran up to him and he picked me up and we hugged. He put me down and we just looked into eachother's eyes. He was about to kiss me! We kissed and I felt the biggest spark.

Trevor and Sam came out of nowhere. "Woah there keep it pg for Trevs!" Sam giggled.

I laughed and looked over at Trevor. He was laughing quietly but he looked kind of upset.

Trevor's POV
Jc asked me and Sam to help him ask Mckenzie to the Valentine's Dance. I hate to admit it because it's wrong to do this but I've been having feelings for Mckenzie ever since we talked at the park that day. Jc's one of my best friends and I don't want to hurt him. I can't tell Jc, he'll kill me. I can't tell anyone. It felt like someone had shot me right in the heart when Jc and Mckenzie kissed.

Mckenzie's POV
After hanging out for a while with Jc, I had to go home. When i got home I called Emily and told her all about what had happened. We both were freaking out. Emily told me how Connor asked her to go too and how we need to go dress shopping.

" I'll ask my mom if we can go tomorrow night. I'm sure she'll let me go." I told Emily. I couldn't fall asleep that night because I kept thinking about that kiss. It was just... Perfect.
