I Hope I Didn’t Fall Too Deep (IRTFILWH Sequel) *ch.1*
Sereya’s POV:
I sat in first period, working hard on a rather large packet. I sighed, tired of the finger sprains that kept shooting through my hand because of how much I had written. I slammed my pencil down on my desk and pulled out my mirror. I began applying on my Chapstick and then I switched to putting on a layer of lip gloss.
I was concentrating hard on not putting any around my lips when I noticed something through my mirror. My attention was drawn away from lip gloss when I realized that it was Austin. He was waving his hands in the back of the classroom to get my attention.
What the heck?
I looked harder into my mirror and noticed that he was nodding his head towards the door. I realized what he wanted. I shook my head and he made a pouty face. I rolled my eyes and raised my hand.
“Excuse me, Mrs. Thomas. May I use the restroom please,” I asked sweetly. She looked up and smiled, “Of course you can. Just sign out sweetie.”
I closed my mirror, placed it into my purse and walked towards the sign out sheet. Once I walked past Angel’s desk, she glared at me. She eyed me and then Austin, and then looked back at me.
“Mrs. Thomas, I’m sorry but didn’t Sereya use up all her passes already,” she announced. I scoffed.
“Maybe she did, but I don’t have a problem with it. And Angel, I don’t think you should be so focused on how many times Sereya leaves the classroom; I’ pretty sure that’s my job,” Mrs. Thomas replied.
The classroom snickered.
I had always been Mrs. Thomas’ teacher’s pet.
I smiled once more at Angel before slipping out the door. I walked down the hall to the far off restrooms. I stationed myself next to the water fountain. Seconds later Austin arrived, grinning from ear to ear.
I rolled my eyes as he wrapped his arms around my waist. “How did you get out of class this time? She only lets one student out of the room at a time,” I asked.
“Well, you know. I’ve got Mrs. Thomas wrapped around my finger. She always falls for my dimples and charm,” he joked, pulling me closer to him.
“Who would ever fall for that,” I teased before pressing my lips to his. My stomach fluttered, still comfortably unfamiliar with the feel of his tongue. I heard faint footsteps coming down the hallway. I pulled us apart quickly. Seconds later a freshman walked past. Once she left, Austin tried to kiss me again, but I moved away.
“Ugh! We can’t do this now. I am at school to learn, not to sneak around with you. If we got caught my dad would go off on me and you could forget about him inviting your family back over ever again,” I whispered.
He rolled his eyes. “I know, I know. It’s just that you looked so exhausted and I was bored,” he sighed.
“Well thanks for caring about me but I do not feel like getting a lecture from my dad about books before boys,” I laughed.
He smiled. Gosh I love his smile.
“Okay, I’ll go into class like a minute after you,” he said. I nodded and walked back to class.
I stepped inside, signed back in, and acted like nothing ever happened. About a minute and a half later Austin ambled in. When he walked by my desk he bumped it and winked. I rolled my eyes and picked up my pencil so I could get back to my work.
Sterling’s POV:
I joined Marcus and the girls at the lunch table, taking a seat across from Sereya.
