I Hope I Didn’t Fall Too Deep (IRTFILWH Sequel) *ch. 3*
Sereya’s POV:
I removed my chemistry textbook from my locker and placed it into my backpack just as Austin swooped in and curled his arms around my waist. He positioned his chin on my shoulder and leaned his head against mine.
“Hello beautiful,” he breathed.
“Hey, you okay,” I asked, turning around to face him.
He sighed. “Yup, I’m fine now. I’m just looking forward to spending the night with my breath-taking girlfriend.”
I gave him a peck on his lips. “I’m looking forward to it as well.”
He grabbed my backpack for me as we stepped into class. As soon as we walked inside Angel stopped talking to Jaylene and turned her attention to us. Austin walked with me to my desk.
“Since when are you a servant? You never held my backpack for me,” she asked Austin. He rolled his eyes and ignored her.
“So you can’t talk to me now, huh,” Angel continued. Austin still didn’t reply. “I see how it is. That’s okay because I know that when she messes up you’ll be crawling back to me. I’ve always been able to satisfy you in ways that this Jesus freak wouldn’t.”
I cut my eyes at her, not wanting her to see my confusion. Austin looked down, placed my backpack on my desk and walked away.
What the heck?
* * * * *
I stood in the hallway yapping away with Asia even though the dismissal bell had just rung. Today went by pretty fast, just a whole lot of classwork.
“Girl, Jayden and I aren’t doing so well right now. He is still angry with me. I mean, he says he’s fine but he just doesn’t act the same around me anymore,” she confided.
“Oh, I’m sorry hun. Maybe you should consider telling your parents about him. I’m going to tell my parents about Austin pretty soon,” I replied.
Before Asia could respond Jordan appeared in front of me.
“Hey cute sophomore girl,” he smiled.
I rolled my eyes. “Hello to you, too.”
“Oh my gosh! Sereya, can you please tell him about the whole Jayden thing? I forgot to get my binder and I have to get it so I can do my homework over the weekend,” she cried as she ran down the hallway in the direction we had just come from.
Jordan stared at me. “So what is it that you needed to ask me? Am I going to get some risky task,” he joked.
I chuckled. “Jayden is throwing a bit of a hissy fit because Asia keeps telling him that she can’t tell her parents about him because she’s not allowed to date. But I guess he doesn’t want to hide from her parents or something like that. So Asia wanted me to ask you if you can sort of talk to Jayden and help him be more understanding,” I explained.
“Sure, but why did Asia want you to ask me,” he said as we stepped down the hallway.
“She said that we’re closer and she also said that you would do anything to help me. Something like that.”
I saw him smile. “Yeah…she knows me well. I’m like your soldier,” he grinned.
I laughed. “My soldier? How are you like my soldier?”
We turned the corner and I saw Janelle cracking up at something Marcus had just said.
I guess nobody cares that school already ended.
