Jason's POV
The rest of the summer passed without many events. We chilled out, relaxed and messed around. Then the real adventure began, school. I had gone on a lot of quests and fought a lot of things. The Titan Krios, the giant Enceladus and the giant Porphyrion. I had even charged a forty foot imortal bare-handed to buy my friends time to free Juno. Nothing I had ever seen had terrified me this much. My first school.
The night before I went to bed early. I slipped into my room and studdied it. Pictures dotted the walls. The legion raising me on their shields, me and Percy summoning the storm in Charleston and me and Piper sitting together. I didn't know where they came from but I guess the gods had used magic. I intended to go to sleep if it wasn't for the godess. She looked familliar and it took me a minute to realise from where. She looked for a moment like Piper and then like Reyna.
"Venus?" I guessed. Percy had met the godess and described something similar. "Why are you here?"
"Jason" She laughed, Pipers laugh? "Is that anyway to speak to a godess?" She paused waiting for me to awnser. When she saw I wasn't she continued speaking. "Your relationships won't be as simple from this point onwards. At least one break up will probably occur" Then she snapped her fingers and I fell asleep...
I awoke to someone shaking me and calling my name.
"Jason" Piper? "Get up we're going to be late"
I immediatly shot up. Not because Piper was using charmspeak but because I don't like being late for things. Somehow, after Venus had put me to sleep, I had ended up in bed and changed. I was wearing the outfit I had picked out for today. Purple t-shirt, jeans and a jacket. Piper was sat in the chair next to my bed. Her brown hair was braided over her right shoulder. She was dressed in the same clothes that she'd been wearing that day on the bus. When I'd awoken with no memories.
"Jason" she said "Get up"
Downstairs was a mess. Leo, Nico and Percy were rushing around trying to find stuff. The girls were sat talking and Frank and Jem were smirking. I almost laughed. Leo and Percy had laughed at us when we packed our bags the nigh before. I flopped into a chair at the table. My cup immediatly filled with coffee and Hazel slid a bowl of cereal over to me. I ate quickly.
As soon as the others had found their stuff we headed to the garage, each of us climbing into our cars. I, being the gentleman, had let Piper drive. We sped through town, easily keeping pace with the others. I could sense that Jem was holding his car back.
When we arrived at the school gates we had to do some tricky negotiating. People were chilling around, in the middle of the road. Of course people moved out the way when the saw the Lamborgini and the Maclaren but the others weren't so lucky. We managed to find a parking space without killing anyone and got out. Immediatly a group of girls began eying up the guys.
Percy lead us through the crowd with confidence. A couple of people bumped on the shoulder and welcomed him back but most took it that he had always been there. He took us through to the main office to collect our schedules. The lady at the desk nodded to Percy and handed him the stuff. The gods had worked some magic to make us all look around the same age. They'd given us all some knowledge so we fitted into eleventh grade.
"I have math first" Percy said "Followed by Biology, English, Physics and then Gym. What about you guys?"
Leo and Ebony were also in Percy's math. I had math with Annabeth, Jem and Hazel. Nico, Frank and Piper had math together. Second I had Chemistry with Annabeth and Jem. Somehow we had all ended up in the same English and Gym groups. After English I had History with Annabeth, Jem and Hazel.
"Wow" Jem smirked "We have so many lessons together Jason"
"I know" I couldn't believe that they had put us together. Out of all the others I probably identified most with Jem.
"You guys" Annabeth said "I think we should meet at lunch"
There was a loud ringing noise. For a second I didn't realise what it meant untill Annabeth grabbed me and Jem's sleeve.
"That signals the start of lessons" She explained.
When teacher saw the four of us walk in together she instantly split us up. I was sat next to this girl, Jess Green. She was alright apart from the fact she kept trying to flirt with me. Our first conversation was evidence of this.
"Hey" She said as I sat down, adjusting her hair "What's your name?"
"Jason" I responded.
"Mine's Jess" She smiled at me "Are you going to try out for the football team?"
"Yeah" It was one of the few things I was interested in doing this year. "Why?"
"'Cause I love a football player" she said, shuffling closer to me "And I'm single"
"Well I'm taken" I tried to explain. During that lesson I did try to work but it was really hard with Jess sat there batting her eyes and flirting openly.
Chemistry was alright. We had to do something to do with the study of Tungsten. I was partnered with Jem who did, basically all the work. English wasn't fun. Since most of us were dyslexic we spent most of the lesson trying to read the board. Jem didn't help at all. He was to busy worrying about the three or four girls trying to flirt with him.
History was easy. We were studying three things this year. The Ancient Greeks, The Ancient Romans and the Second World war. For the first lesson we were mainly studying the greek gods. I let Annabeth and Jem do most of the talking. They couldn't help showing off their knowledge, even going as far as to have a short conversation about the gods in Greek.
Gym was fun. we were doing long distance running. Six laps of the school track.
Annabeths POV
I was quite disapointed that I wasn't with Percy for all my lessons.
In Chemistry I was busy doing my work. The girl, Mary, that I was working with was quite good at helping. She wasn't the smartest person in the class but she was one of the most eager to learn. Yeah as I was saying, I was doing my work when a guy slid next to me. He had messy brown hair and blue eyes.
"Hey you're new" He wasn't respecting my personnel space and he smelled strange "I think I'd recognise a girl as pretty as you"
"Well I also have a boyfriend you know?" I retorted
"That's ok" He responded, flashing a smile "I love a challenge" Then he was off.
The rest of the day passed without many incidents. At lunch we had the tedious job of finding a table. Us being new kids everyone wanted us to join their social groups. We made our way across the cafeteria to Percy's table. Out of either sadness or optimism he always sat at the largest table and for the first time it was full. We talked and chatted as if we'd always gone to his school.
Gym was fun. We were doing long distance running, something that we were all experienced with. Of course Jem was the best, I was one of the few people who had seen him jogging before breakfast. After Jem came Jason. Again it wasn't really a suprise, after all he had probably been doing that sort of thing since he was a few years old. Percy came next, he had clearly been practicing. I came after him.
The coach reminded me of coach Hedge apart from taller and less scary. When the class had started he had given us all targets to beat. When he saw me he gave me a rediculous time 30 minutes to run 1500 meters. I had so much fun proving that girls can run.
"You, girl" He said as soon as I finished "Are you a track and field kind of girl?"
"No" I smirked "I'm more of a library kind of girl"
He was probably going to make some sexist comment but he was distracted by Jem.
"Coach" The son of Hades called "What was my time? I couldn't hear you the first time"
I walked inside and got changed. As first days go that hadn't been a bad one. Things could only fluctuate from here...
