two; different people

There was no doubt in elvie's head when he deliberately thought it would be funny to mess around with Alec; plotting a mischievous excuse that may, or may not embarrass his friend. He simply saw it as a way to  pay him back for making him walk all the way to the other side of campus when he could've easily just given his friend the phone, but it was too late for that;  for Elvie didn't like to think much of it, since in his head--it was like, committing a good deed. A good deed that Alec would have to pay back for one day.

Elvie was tired, to say the most; his skinny, not-so vigorous legs were exhausted already, getting lost along the way, but eventually he got back to where he was headed, only to get lost again, having no idea where he was till he asked a girl, her red hair making her stand out the most, her florescent hair seeming as the only thing adoring her frame.

"You're not very familiarized with the campus yet, I see," she chuckled, nodding, quickly taking out a sheet of paper from her back pocket that was soon unfolded into a larger size paper, showing a map around campus. His attention diverting mostly to the other side of the map, not sharing a simple glance with the girl who appeared to do so.

He didn't thank her, but instead gave her a awkward gaze people do when dismissing a stranger. Having the map still gripped in his hands from the girl who insisted for him to keep it felt strange. Almost as if, she found him alluring in some form of way, which couldn't be the case; his off-putting attitude - people told him he had - didn't make it the easy to understand. Yet he would always find a desperate girl running after him to be rather nice.

But the unpleasant reminder of where he was headed again made him grunt, his grunting seeming to increase with every passing minute.

5:00 pm, it was 5:00 pm when he finally arrived at the office, making a mental note to himself to get a cab the next time, and to sufficiently bother Alec more often. His bickering of how much he hated his friend stopping, once he stepped foot in the entrance. But instead of being welcomed with a warm or appreciated smile, he was greeted with a sign that read 'on lunch break', then he was quickly directed to the waiting area.

The waiting area consisted of one boy, two girls and one big enough couch for him to settle in. The boy appearing much older than him; his headphones plugged to each side of his ears, and uneasy tapping-showcased how nervous or weird this boy really was. One of the girl's having, to what appeared to be frizzy or tangled hair. Her head kneeling on the wall, as her eyes remained closed.

It seemed as though, the only person he could make a quick conversation was one of the girl's, but the thought was rapidly shut down when the girl's eyes started whelming up with tears. He was pretty much aware that allergy season wasn't as far as it was a couple of months ago, but he didn't take any chance when it came to these kind of people.

He didn't really qualify them as weird in his head, but maybe 'different' would be the better word for it. Different kind of people who take the fun out of everything, different people who he was sure he didn't want to associate with, different people who constantly complain how horrible, or sad life really is--when they, themselves don't realize how they can change all that, they could be living it big, loosing up, forgetting about the past and living in the present, and making their dreams come true. Yeah, making their dreams come true seemed a awfully-better option for any human being, rather than being depressed, he thought.

Soon enough, a lady with a white cote appeared and guided one of them to another room. And for some apparent reason Elvie felt the sudden curiosity to know how it all went down, feeling tempted to poke the guy next to him and ask  him a variety of questions, but decided against it, since he didn't seem the type to be quite friendly.

Finally, it was his turn. Not even getting the chance to say a word, as a lady directed him to come a long, his brown knitting together, his puzzled gaze giving it all away. But the lady didn't even look at him before she ordered him to sit down in the near by coach. Leaving him, as he was left dumbfounded. The sudden urge to scream muffling to the edge of his throat.

At this point Elvie was just flustered, not even planning to fulfill Alec's favor anymore because it had gotten a bit of a hand for his taste. Not being able to control what was happening around him made him lightly uncomfortable, but enough for his desire to leave.

Light brown eyes softening as he spotted a nervous looking girl entering the room, a pencil clenching her hand, and notebook in her other hand, as she suffered on scribbling things; her trembling hands, and unsteady tone making Elvie feel less uneasy as a couple of minutes ago. Her lips evidently being forced into a wide smile, as she muttered a few things he wasn't able to make out.

"Alec," she mumbled, but doubtless, it was one of those times where Elvie preferred to zone out and acknowledge a person, even if it meant for a mere moment.  A smirk lingering on Elvie's lips, as a wave of mischievous thoughts passed through his head.

"Yeah?"

I'll try to make the chapters longer, and I'll most likely update tomorrow late at night like this one. I don't have much to say in this note, just that I was planning on updating everyday, but my chores and personal family business were interfering, So I'm sorry for the little delay.

 P.S  have a lovely day :3
