OK, listen up y'all. I absolutely hate texting people. OK, yea that was an exaggeration, but I don't like texting.
Here's the thing.
I could love the person with all my fucking heart and soul and would take a bullet for them, and they never drain my energy when I'm with them irl.
BUT TEXTING.
O O F.
When I'm texting someone, it's like I'm not getting their whole personality. I once had a dream where I was texting someone and I didn't even know who it was, but it felt completely natural anyway. So basically, I feel like all texting is the same. You're not talking with the person. You're texting them. And it's completely different.
And texting takes effort. You gotta open the message in early but not too early, you can't spend too long typing, you can't come across as salty, you gotta convey your message PERFECTLY, and when they reply it's just words on a screen like WORDS ON A SCREEN CAN'T PORTRAY MY FRIENDSHIP, KAREN.
So basically I'm that one friend who never fucking opens their texts.
