"I—" Yoongi was interrupted.

"Sooyoung!" a deep voice affectionately called.

Sooyoung gasped and grabbed her blanket. She adequately covered Yoongi and placed pillows all over him. Sooyoung's father came back.

"Yes, father?" Sooyoung said with a sigh.

"You're still awake?" he asked cautiously.

"Y-yea," she responded with a low voice.

"Is someone in there?" he asked with suspicion. "I heard a man's voice." Sooyoung's father was very fearful. He tragically lost his dear sister because of that.

"No? There's not, I think you were hallucinating," Sooyoung said naturally.

Sooyoung's father stared at her for a while, before sighing gently, "I'm going back to sleep," her father said, "also, you're not allowed to interact with boys," he instantly reminded.

Sooyoung didn't reply.

"The communist rules of this corrupt society are harsh, huh?" Yoongi whispered as he came out of the blanket.

"You should go now, your father will execute us both publicly if you don't leave," Sooyoung said gloomily. "I'm not saying it to be rude; I'm saying it for your own good." Sooyoung forgot to ask him why he was here, but she wouldn't allow the unknown assassin get away with her necklace like that. For the petty king or not, it was a special pendant that belonged to her mother.

Yoongi merely shrugged and left. He knew he couldn't let her get forcibly married. He would feel terrible for her if she got married like that. The way the man just broke in, it must've been so traumatizing for her. That man was even about to do things with her without consent.

"So, did you tell that bitch?" the cruel king, Yoongi's father, asked. He and his father were playing chess.

"Don't call her a bitch," Yoongi said with a frigid look in his eyes.

"Did you do it?" his father said as he knocked over one of Yoongi's pawns.

"I didn't want to inform her," Yoongi said earnestly, "one of the assassins burgled her house to steal something."

"Yeah, so? They were doing as I told," his father retorted. "She had such a valuable golden necklace; it would belong to me!"

Yoongi flinched in disgust. His eyebrows twitched spasmodically. His father was too greedy. "I didn't do it because she looked traumatized and frightened."

"Ugh, fine, I already had some other girls asked," his father said angrily, "but that doesn't mean she's off the hook."

"Fair enough," Yoongi shrugged. It was the first time he encountered her anyway; it'd be bizarre to already start worrying about her like that. He was hoping by the time she'd get married off, she'd not be as traumatized as she was before. Although it was just a burglary, that necklace could've inevitably meant a lot to her. And it undoubtedly did.

Yoongi excused himself from the dining room and started to walk toward his bedroom. His bedroom was only twenty feet away, but he felt lazy after fighting that assassin. He decided to just lay down on the floor, not caring about the judgmental and brainwashed maids walking by staring at him overly concerned. His head was in an odd angle as he slowly dozed off. Suddenly he felt someone hit his shoulder hard. His eyes flung open in surprise and excruciating annoyance.

"Yah! What the hell was that fo—" he said looking up to be faced to face with...

Kim Seokjin.

"Aish, what are you doing sleeping here? Your bed is only a few feet away!" Jin said, striking his shoulder harder. Yoongi gave him a glare before deciding to stand up, he brushed his tight black jeans with his hands before looking back up at Jin.

"Why does it matter?" He said in a cold tone; he really didn't like being bothered when sleeping. Jin sighed, shaking his head.

"Didn't you notice all those maids giving you odd looks? Have some decency!" Jin scolded, returning back the cold glare. Yoongi tilted his head, making a crack sound with his neck.

"How could I notice? I was sleeping, dumbass," he responded. He slung his jacket over his shoulder walking away.

"Yah! Come back here!" Jin yelled across the hallway, his voice booming with anger. Yoongi scoffed, rolling his eyes.

"You're such a parent, Jin." Yoongi commented.

"Of course I am! I'm your fathers assistant I'm supposed to take care of yo—" before he could finish his sentence, Yoongi slammed his door close.

"He really talks a lot," Yoongi panted, "such parent material." He panted even more with his eyes shut.

Yoongi let himself fall onto his bed. He almost drifted off but then the image of Sooyoung's tearful face came into his head. He felt so miserable for her. He wanted to help her out more; he didn't want her to be scared anymore. At the same time, he didn't want to get executed by his father.

Yoongi sat up, looking down at his hands, am I being selfish? He asked himself, suddenly shaking the thought of, no, he barely knows this girl why does it matter? He still couldn't help but feel this gut wrenching emotion in his stomach, he knew he should follow his gut but he didn't want to risk it. He felt guilty.

He let his back hit the bed, feeling remorse with the coziness and softness of his bed. He didn't know what to do. Should he go back and make sure shes okay? She lost something very valuable, it must have hurt, but he barely knows her. He slammed a pillow to his face, what the fuck is wrong with my mind?

He tossed and turned for a bit, and it was his first time that he was struggling to sleep. Finally hitting a comfortable position, he shut his eyes desperately trying not think about what happened. Gradually, he dozed off into a deep slumber, letting all his thoughts wash away.
