Chapter 21

Katniss' POV

It's been a week since I came back home, it was one of the worst week; all I did was go to school and come back. I was messed up but thanks to Jamie and auntie Dani he took a great of I and mom. He would pick me up every day and drive me to school and back home, he would stay with me to make sure I ate; he would even help me with the studies. I really don't know what would I do without him, I owe him a lot and I would never know how to repay him.

I rolled out of my bed, I walked slowly to the bathroom. I'm going to finally see my dad, I miss him so much. I quickly did my business and showered. After that I went back to my room and opened my dressing room, searching for dad's favorite outfit on me, once I found it I put softly on my bed and started on my hair and makeup.

I was about to finish curling my hair when my phone rang, I finished it quickly and picked my phone knowing its my Jamie

"Hey babe"

"Jamiiiiiiiiiiiiiie"

"Someone is feeling better finally"

I laughed a bit "Yeah, I'm finally seeing him"

"I know babe, but it kills me you know, that I can't make you happy"

"No babe, you make me the happiest girl in the whole world" I could imagine his stupid grin right now, "What are you doing today?"

"I don't know yet"

"Maybe we can go somewhere if you were free?" I asked

"Sure babe"

"And it's gonna be on me, do you hear me?" he laughed sarcastically "I mean it James Payne"

"Wow! You haven't used my full name in a while"

I giggled "Yep" I heard someone call him from the background.

"Look babe I have to go now, I will talk to you later love"

"Ok babe, Love you so much"

"Love you too katy cat, byebye"

"Bye" I hung up.

"I'm glad to see your smile babe" mom walked in and sat on my bed "God, this baby is so heavy" I smiled at her and sat next to her, mom is way healthier currently, she is been eating pretty well or let's say pretty a lot. She says it's the baby. "Are you excited babe?"

"Yep, I miss him so much mommy. I just want him to be with us; I'm sick of him always being away."

"I know babe, but after those 4 months we will live normally, I promise you dear"

"I hope so mom" she wrapped her arms around me and kissed the top of my head, we stayed like this till her stomach growl. I laughed at her.

She sigh "Your brother or sister is hungry don't blame me." I laughed and nodded "Finish what you were doing and come downstairs for breakfast or I will eat it all, that nanny your dad got us makes amazing food"

"Ok, ok I will" I laughed as she struggled to get up with her big bump. "You have the biggest bump I've seen on a 3 months pregnant woman" it was true she looks like she is 6 months pregnant.

"I know really" she said as she got out of the room. I finished geting dressed and headed downstairs. Mom was already sitting with a full plate in front of her. "Haven't I told you hundreds of time that staring at people is rude" she said while she shoved the food in her mouth. I apologized and sat next to her, the nanny served me some food and I start digging in.

After eating breakfast we headed to the car, mom got in the passenger seat  as I got in the driver's one. I started the engine and drove to the rehab dad was in.

It took me a 2 hours drive, mom kept complaining but what else would I do, I had just got my license and I'm not used to driving on highways. I parked the car in the parking lot, I got out and went to the other side to help mom. We walked together to the big building. We went through the entrance, workers started greatening us and so on. we told them who we want to visit and they walked us immediately to a big room, with lots of people. Everyone was just concentrating in what they were doing so no one paid attention to us which I was grateful of.

I caught a glimpse of dad sitting in the far corner alone, he looked tired and sad. I wonder what's wrong with him. "Mom, daddy" I pointed to mommy slowly. Mom thanked the guy whom was helping us; informing him that we had found him. I  walked fast  till I reached my dad, I was standing in front of him  but he didn't see me. "come to earth daddy" I waved my hands in front of him. He frowned and look up. His eyes met mine, that's when a big smile was drawn on his lips, he opened his arms wide, I threw myself in his arms immediately without thinking. He wrapped his arms tightly around my waist and kept placing soft kissed to the top of my head.

"Keep some to me" mom giggled, he let go of me and took mom in his arms, they just stayed in each other's arms without saying anything. When I was a little kid I've always wondered why do couples hug without saying anything as I had always been watched that happened to mom and dad and my aunties and uncles, when they go on tours but I learnt the reason when i grow up and did the same with Jamie. I learnt that words don't have meanings beside the warmth and safety you feel when you are in the arms of the person you love. Anyone can talk and say words but not anyone can give that kind of warmth and safety that comfort you and take you to another world; a world that only you and lover are in, only both of you.

I looked at my parents who were kissing like there was no tomorrow, I smiled and waited till they were done. Mom broke the kiss and started breathing heavily, they both stared in one another's eyes for a while, it's like their eyes were saying everything that they needed to say, dad pointed to me to come closer so I did as I was told, he threw his arm around me and pulled me close to his body.

"I love you both so much, you both own my heart, soul and mind. This week was the hardest, I felt like a robot, the only reason that kept me alive, is that I'll be able to see both of you again and after 4 months I would be able to come home and see you daily. You don't know how much I missed you"

"We missed you too Zayn, the house doesn't feel like home when you are away, please do your best and prove that you are clean so they would release you early"

"Is that possible?" I asked excitedly, dad and mom nodded at the same time "OMG! Dad please do it for me, please. I want you home please. The house sucks without you"

"I will do my best babe"  he pulled me close and kissed my forehead.
