Sometimes we say things that we really don't mean

The room that Angelo had led us into was beautiful. I had never seen a home office so big, nearly bigger than the size of a large master bedroom.

The room was all glass and had a large, maroon desk in the far left corner, with a giant chair behind it, most likely to fit the giant man currently behind Angelo.

Although what really caught my eyes in the room was a sort of painting on one of the glass windows in the room. It was a painting of a constellation that I recognized that was near the moon and as the sky continued to get darker the painting cast a beautiful glow in the office making it seem as if the stars were actually in the room.

"La stella piu lontana." I heard a deep voice speak behind me. I knew it was alfa from the way my body reacted to his strong, deep, but soft voice.

"The farthest star." I replied. I knew I had recognized the constellation from when I had lived with him. He had always gone on and on about la stella piu lontana and how that was me, whenever I had asked why he wouldn't let me leave.

I turned away from the glass painting when my eyes started to tear up while remembering snippets of what had occurred while staying with him. And I thanked God that he had given me enough courage to be standing where I am today.

Turning around I notice Alfa standing near his desk while looking at me in wonder. He was probably thinking how I could possibly know about the whole star thing.

Although our little staging contest was cut short when Angelo opened his big mouth. "Alfa she... knows nothing of our... kind, just wanted to let that out there." Angelo spoke hesitantly.

I stared daggers at Angelo's fat head for interrupting us. He was definitely going to be a problem.

Alfa simply look towards him as if having a silent conversation before walking towards the giant chair silently. I still couldn't believe how someone that big could walk so quietly.

Angelo followed suit and sat at one of the chairs near Alfa's desk beckoning me towards the other chair. "Okay so here's how this is going to go Amethyst." Angelo started.

"I know that you have no where to go cause I checked you out , your records of course, and I see you have no family, well in Italy at least." I was shocked to be hearing this from him. How could he know all of this about me? I suddenly no longer wanted to be in that room afraid of what these people were.

As quick as I could I made a run for the door which caught them by surprise and gave me a few seconds before Angelo was hot on my tail.

I didn't know how to navigate through the giant house mansion whatever so I took the first right, which caused me to plummet through open glass doors down a narrow stairway.

As I fell I could help but feel the feeling of something tugging at my chest. It was weird as if someone was feeling the same thing as me or was longing for me.

"SHES DEAD!" Angelo shouted as I hit the bottom of the stairway hard.

I was slightly disoriented as I hit the bottom but quickly got up and continued to make a run for it in the dimly lit hallways at the bottom.

"Okay never mind it's scary as fuck down here, ANGELO COME GET ME PLEASE!" I screamed for Angelo.

The hallways began to get larger and larger and a weird echoing sound was coming from one of the many turns of the hallways and I was not in the mood to find out what the sound was.

Suddenly I heard large footsteps coming towards me and I began to scream. This was it, this was the end. I was going to die in a dingy ugly ass hallway all because I thought I was Usan Bolt.

"Cosa stai facendo quaggiu sei pizzicato?" He said in his deep, quiet voice. Although he hadn't yelled I could tell I was being scorned like a little child.

He was even bigger in the small hallways and I wanted nothing more than to put him against the wall and kiss him.

Alfa stared at me awaiting for me to say something as if he knew I understood him. I mean I did but I was hoping he would say more to me. We hadn't really spoken since he realized I had known what the constellation meant earlier.

"No i'm not crazy I just don't want to be tied up with you alls mafia business, but I mean I have no problem being tied up in you. Wink wink." I cannot believe I just said that. Who says 'wink wink' out loud!

Alfa tilted his head in the cutest way as if he hadn't really understood what I had said.

"ARE YOU GUYS OKAY DOWN THERE?" Angelo yelled from what I guess was the top of the stairway. "IM NOT COMING IN CAUSE IM SCARED BUT YOU GUYS SHOULD REALLY GET FROM DOWN THERE." He continued to yell.

Alfa had a brief look of annoyance on his face before he turned back to me. He hadn't said anything but somehow I could tell he wanted me to leave the hallways. That was weird. I had somehow been able to tell what he wanted to say without him having to say anything.

I had began to notice that he didn't really talk much and he preferred to speak in Italian than English. I wasn't really sure if he even knew how to speak English. And I wasn't about to ask him and get squished, he was a big man.

After staring at me for a few more second and me staring at his chest to see if I could somehow evaporate his tight dress shirt, he turned towards where Angelo had yelled.

I was shocked to see how well he was able to navigate from the hallways before I remembered that this was his house.
