I woke up around 6:30. Ethan had work today, but I didn't. I took a quick shower and brushed my teeth. I brushed my hair and pulled it back into a loose pony. I threw on some shorts and one of Ethans hoodies. I grabbed my ring off my dresser and put it on. I admired it before I headed into the kitchen.

I made Ethan some breakfast, pancakes of course. I was about to wake him up when I heard the shower turn on. I didn't have much of an appetite so I just nibbled on a granola bar. I grabbed some chocolate milk and sat at the counter. I set up his plate and put it in the microwave so it wouldn't get cold.

I spun around and pecked his lips before getting his food. He sat down beside me and we made small talk. I hugged him goodbye before he left, and locked the door behind him. I went back into the kitchen to clean up a little, before I crashed on the couch. I turned on the SyFy channel and left it as background noise.

I was almost asleep before I fell off the couch vomiting. I cleaned it up and ran to the store for some ginger ale and saltines. They would help if it was just a virus. While I was in line the thought came to me again. I walked to the pharmacy section and grabbed a test, not letting my imagination get the best of me.

The woman checking me out giggled and said, "So you've been busy, huh?" I got super uncomfortable and just forced a laugh. "Well, congrats." She said after she handed me my things. I walked out of the store rolling my eyes while dialing Ethan. I told him the story and all he did was laugh. He also said, "Don't look until I get home Jayden, I want to be with you." "Ugh you know I can't wait that long." I huffed as I got into my Jeep. "You're gonna have to or else." He said with a deep voice. "Yeah ok, I'm so scared." I said sarcastically. He laughed and said, "Love you Jay, see you when I get home." "I love you more!" I said before hanging up so he couldn't argue with me.

When I got home I took the test, but I didn't look at it. I spent the entire day being lazy and eating. Time seemed to slow down, and it would take Ethan another 30 minutes to get home. I stared outside until I heard the beep of a car locking. I jumped up to grab the test when I heard keys jiggling in the door.

He walked in and set his stuff down. I ran and gave him a hug before saying, "Are you ready?" "Hell yeah." He answered. He kissed my cheek before I turned it over.

There were two blue lines staring back at us. Tears stung my eyes as I looked up at Ethan. "We're getting a second chance," he whispered while wiping away his own tears. "We're starting a family!" I screeched. "I love you so much!" "I love you too Jayden." Ethan said before kissing me. We cried into each other, we couldn't believe it. I called Riley and Amanda, and Ethan called his dad and Tyler. Riley and Amanda both cried and Amanda said she'd tell Alexa. When I got off the phone Ethan was still talking.

I went into the bathroom and stared at myself. Then I looked down at my stomach. Ethan came in and hugged me from behind. He rubbed me belly and I put my hand over his.

We went to bed with smiles on our faces. I couldn't wait for this little boy or girl to be in our arms. The thought of what happened to Samara crept into my mind. I was excited for her too, but she didn't get that chance. A few tears silently rolled down my face before I fell asleep in Ethans arms.
