5 years. That's how long I've been hunting Mercer, and uncovering my past along the way.
I stood at graves I made for my friends, I put down flowers for all 5 of them.
Standing up, I looked at the sky, hating it. That dark ominous sky.
Sam: "I'll avenge us. I promise." I said walking away and leaving the city, Yharnam, to explore the world I never once thought about, and along the way kill Alex Mercer.

Finally, after 7 years, Sam had a lead. He knew precisely where Mercer was.

Along the way, I had discovered many trinkets and gadgets. One of my favorites was an MP3 player. Sure there were smartphones, but those were too draining and confusing in my opinion. Yharnam may have been isolated, but it was powerful.
Anyway, I put my Earbuds in and started the MP3 player.

Walking through the corridors and going up countless flights of stairs, I found myself in what appeared to be a technological lab.
I saw a girl in armor:

She was chained up, but as I observed: her lance was a leach type item, though she did seem familiar
However, there was something about her. She looked up at me and smiled savagely, her chains breaking.
??: "Greetings Lord Sam." She said happily, laughing with insanity but also sanity. Her Valkyrie wings flapping a bit out of excitement. "Oh, what a treat. Being able to rip apart the mighty Lord Sam, master of the samurai with my own 2 hands, how beautiful!" she was a bit too ecstatic for that statement.
To say the least, that unlocked some memories.
I remember is a child being strong enough that I was called the lord of the samurai. But then I lost all my strength and was cast out. Her name... the name of the maiden that stands before me is... Shalltear Bloodfallen, the first huntress.
