TITLE: Graduation
GENRE: FLUFF, ANGST(?)
REQUESTED BY: ME (hehe)
HWANG HYUNJIN X OC (KANG RINA)

"Rina seems a bit...off today."

Hyunjin leaned over to his group of friends, Felix, Jisung and Seungmin.

All four of them turned to stare at the girl who seemed to be deep in thought, her lips forming a slight pout.

"Then go approach her! She's YOUR girlfriend."

Seungmin said, pushing Hyunjin towards Rina. Hyunjin lost his balance and tripped, but managed to balance himself by putting his hands on Rina's table.

Rina was snapped out of her thoughts when she felt her table jerk. She looked up and gave a forced smile.

Hyunjin pouted and rested his head on his palms.

"What's wrong Rinnie?"

Rina shook her head and smiled, grabbing Hyunjin's hand and squeezing it to convince him that everything was alright. But Hyunjin knew everything was not alright.

Hyunjin could only sigh as he cupped Rina's cheeks and gave her a peck on her forehead.

"Tell me about it later okay?"

Rina didnt react.

Many hours later, the bell let out that annoying but at the same time, pleasing ring as the students cheered, stuffing their books inti the bag even before the teacher had dismissed them.

"Alright class you are dismissed"

One by one, the students ran out of the class, eager to go back home to — probably — play video games and totally neglect homework.

Rina, who is also the last student to leave class, made her way to her usual meeting point with hyunjin ; the front gate.

Hyunjin leaned against the wall, his eyes glued to his phone. It was only when he heard footsteps come closer and closer to him then did he look up from his phone.

"Rina~"

He immediately paused the game he was playing and shoved his phone into his bag, engulfing Rina in a hug.

Rina hugged him back weakly as he pulled away and frowned.

"Did anything happen in class?"

Rina shook her head.

"Then what's bothering you? You didn't look so good in the morning either."

Rina sighed and ran a hand through her hair as Hyunjin attempted to smooth it down.

"Just...graduation."

Hyunjin's smile dropped slightly. He himself wasn't looking forward to Graduation. Graduation meant leaving and being separated from not only Rina, but his best friends too.

"Oh, that. But look on the bright side, we can still meet up!"

Hyunjin attempted to cheer Rina up. She only sighed as her head fell onto Hyunjin's chest.

"But it'll be less convenient, we won't be seeing each other everyday."

Hyunjin hugged Rina in reply.

"Come on, let's go home."

Time skip, Graduation Day

The dreaded day had finally arrived. The graduating batch had to put up a performance to leave their last footprint in the school.

Then came the finale dance ; the segment that made Rina cry a tsunami.

The song came to an end as the students clapped, some crying while others weren't. Tears unknowingly slipped out of Hyunjin's eyes as he quickly got out of formation to look for Rina, only to see her bent down with her head buried in her arms.

A warm pair of familiar arms embraced Rina and she didn't even have to look up to know who it was. She ended up crying even harder.

Hyunjin stroked her hair and patted her back soothingly, whispering comforting words. Hyunjin pulled away as he slipped a packet of tissue out of his pocket, taking a piece and wiping Rina's face with it.

It was only when school ended when Rina had calmed down. She grabbed Hyunjin's hands tightly and kissed them softly. She looked at him with her puffy and red eyes.

"Don't forget me, Jinnie."

"I never will , Rinnie."

THE END.
