Time check: 8:45 p.m

I changed my clothes into a blazer to fit in for tonight. I grabbed my small notebook and pen inside the blazer which has a big pocket.Just in case something interesting comes within. I'm headed towards the gambling center in the lower deck of the ship.William offered me to join him but I told him to go ahead as I tidy up my things and take a bath, I've hadn't have such a nice refreshing shower for awhile now.

Never such a gambler, I always thought that gambling was a waste of time and money. My family grew up normally compared to this lavish living individuals here.

I checked myself in the mirror on the wall of my cabin one last time before I made my way there. The rooms are basically in one side of the area in each deck with a different room or customization in the other.

But this one the only thing different here is that it's only a viewing spot here nothing big really. There were only a handful of people here enjoying the night with chatting, drinking and sightseeing. I noted myself that the Gambling center holds a big section of the lower deck however that's the only thing I know, who knows what else are in there and the amount of people in it.

Continuing my way in the long corridor was a man who looked laid-back, he's inspecting a open box attached to the wall next to where Will's room is. He appears to be a maintenance worker of this ship judging by his brown overalls, boots and gloves with a dark gray cap. Drawing closer, his tired eyes looked at me in irritation.

"What are you looking at?" His piercing eyes says it all.

"Just curious sir!" I said in great speed.

"Tch, lousy man told me to check if his lights in the cabin are working. I so happen to be there and now I'm stuck in this damn switch box!" He scratched under his cap and grumbled inaudible words.

I see, William's cabin has problems. " Sorry to point the obvious but aren't you meant for this type of things?"

His mouth agape, looked at me funny. "I'll go easy on you since your not one of those richy fools down below. But I'm here as a mechanic with bigger roles to put in than this piece of shit right here." He smacks the panel as he said it.

He really regards himself very highly. I won't say anything more or it might upset him.

"Where are you going? To the Gambling Center? Those clothes really fit that category."

"Y..yeah."

"I was heading there too till that numbskull told me to do something." He then closes the panel and goes ahead.

"Hey! Aren't you going to fix that?"

"If that thing knows how to break itself then it should know how to help itself!"

This guy has an attitude of a lazy worker or a pissed off man. Can't tell...I didn't mind anymore of that and followed him through the gambling session.

Arriving in the Lower deck, I could here some voices and music inside. The Mechanic entered through the big door first followed by me. Inside there were all sorts of things.

Slot machines, Roulette, Card Tables, A stage and jazz-playing musicians.

The Mechanic smiled."See there, these are the richest, influential and famous people in this very room...filled with scum and sinners alike. Although I'd like to think of angels too but that's trying to be optimistic here."

What he said was awfully close to what Jane said. I feel like I could find her here. Even with the patrolling guards around I still don't feel any better.
