Previously: With that they set off in pursuit of Eleven, before the bee had his nice snack.
.........
Nine tried not to giggle. This whole situation was fantasticly humorous to him for some reason. Ah well. Better run before Eleven is eaten alive. He quickened his steps to keep up with Ten.
Ten was leading while Nine was close behind. Poor Rose was in the back, struggling to keep up. Nine loved this feeling though. For far too long they had been just sitting around talking. It was getting quite boring for him.
Fortunately the bumblebee was greatly burdened with the weight of Eleven, making it hard to fly. It was going at such a slow pace, in fact, that Ten could almost touch it's fuzzy back.
Nine could tell Ten was about to jump for it. (A horrible decision in his opinion) But there was no stopping his future regeneration. Ten might have made it if not for one small fault. Just as he sprang off the ground, the tip of his red Converse hit a hidden tree stump. Instead of grabbing the eleventh Doctor, he rammed into the bee, getting a face full of fuzz.
The bee fell to the ground with Eleven in his mouth. Ten rolled on top of it too, coughing on fuzz. The 3 bodies just lied there for awhile with Nine and Rose staring in silence. It wasn't every day that you saw such a sight.
Finally, the two Doctors got off of the bee. Angry looks were on both their faces.
"Nice job Doctor. Couldn't have gotten any more graceful than that." Eleven smirked.
"Oh shut up! You should've seen your face when that-"
Ten was cut off as something knocked his legs forward. He turned around to see the bee staring at him with red, angry eyes. It backed up to go for it again, when it suddenly disappeared.
"What...? he cried shaking his head.
"Look out!" Nine shouted. He could see an angel statue reaching out its hand where the bumblebee had been. He couldn't figure out what it was that made him nervous, but he didn't like that angel.
Ten spun around to find he was face to face with it. He yelped and backed up.
"What is that thing?" Nine asked.
"Weeping Angel. Don't blink."
"But-"
"Just don't blink got it?"
Nine didn't understand, but did what he was told anyway. A minute passed without him blinking. His eyes were burning. Just a quick little wink couldn't hurt...NO. He had to keep his eyes open. Now Eleven was rubbing his eyes. Why is he doing that? Can't he hear? Don't blink!
"Okay. Now slowly back up." Ten said cautiously.
They all began slowing backing up, all the while keeping their unblinking eyes on the angel statue. This went on for a few minutes. But then the sun began to set, putting a glare in their faces. Eleven, with his sadly weak eyes, looked away. Now it was just Nine, Rose, and Ten. Rose' mascara began melting, making it almost impossible for her to see, so she began rubbing her eyes, leaving Ten and Nine.
Nine hated to leave it all on one person, but couldn't help it. He blinked. In that one second though, Ten tripped over the same stump as before and closed his eyes. When Nine looked up, Ten was gone.
