twenty two

the bell rang and it woken up the sleeping jinhyun. she called out for jeno but then realized that jeno wasnt in her house anymore.

tiredly she forced her legs to walk and open the door, only to be greeted by a face she missed the most.

"injoon.." she froze, hands still on the doorknob.

"uh i know i owe you alot. let me in first?" renjun tried to look at her eyes but looked away as soon as it's greeted by the familiar brown eyes.

jinhyun didn't say much as she creaked the door wider for renjun. the boy walked in the house he haven't went for almost one month, maybe already two.

jinhyun closed the door back and trailed behind renjun. they both settled themselves on the couch. if jinhyun can, she would've ran upstairs and locked herself in her room, wrapping herself in the warm blankets and cries her heart out again.

the tension was too high between the two that they can't bring themselves to start a convo.

"jinhyun," renjun started.

"i'm sorry for being such a bad bestfriend to you. jeno and i had been in a fight for some stupid reasons. but that's not what important now. what's important right now is you. i want us to start over again." renjun explained what he had kept bottled up.

he was really hoping to start again with jinhyun. but this time not as bestfriends, but something more than that.

"i'm sorry too. i realized that you must be sad that i ignored your texts while i'm out with jeno. i figured out that you might be mad at me because of that." jinhyun replied with a terrible voice.

"uhm you, forgive me?" renjun asked, fiddling with his tiny fingers.

"of course!" jinhyun squealed as she hugs renjun tighter than ever.

"wait– i have another thing to tell you." jinhyun stopped hugging him and tilted her head to the side confusingly.

"i- i uhm wike wove you?" renjun did a love gesture to jinhyun.

"huh?" jinhyun still couldn't get what exactly renjun means.

"iloveyou" renjun blurted out and closed his eyes. he thought that this is the end—he ruined the confession. she's never going to accept him. he'll be friendzoned and remains still as jinhyun's bestfriend. he—
