Rihannon's POV

For the rest of the week me and Zach worked on the English assignment and we actually became really good friends. Weird, huh? Also he had started to act really weird around me and i'm not sure why. He's become distant and doesn't make eye contact with me anymore. I've asked him a couple of times but he says nothing is wrong. Anyway Connor and I have also gotten closer. He's actually a really cool guy! I also discovered that we had history together as well as English which was good. For once my life was actually going pretty well!

The final bell rang on Friday afternoon and I made my way to my locker. As I closed my locker door I saw Connor.

"Hey Connor." I said happily

"Hey." He said

"So um what are you doing here?" I asked

"Well I was wondering what you were doing on Saturday." He said scratching the back of his neck

"Oh well um uhhh..." I stammered

He looked at me expectantly

"I don't think I have anything on. Why?" I asked more confidently

"I was wondering if you wanted to maybe go see a movie or something" he said looking at the ground

I'm sure that at that moment I turned a very deep shade of red. My heart was thumping so loud in my chest that i'm sure he might have heard it. My legs suddenly felt like jelly. I wasn't exactly sure why I was feeling like this. It might have had something to do with the fact that i had never ever been asked out on a date... EVER. I turned my thoughts back to Connor who had turned his gaze to me. I thought about Zach. I really liked him and I didn't really feel much towards Connor. He was really attractive and funny and smart but I didn't feel anything towards him.

"Um yeah sure." I sai- WHAT DID I JUST SAY?! I did not just say that! Oh my god!

"Really?"

"Uhhh yeah." I said regretting it straight away

"Great! What did you want to see?" He said with a huge smile on his face

"Umm I don't mind really, whatever you want." I said

"Well i've wanted to see the new Dark Knight movie. That ok with you?" He suggested

"Yeah sure."

"There is a session at 9pm. I'll pick you up at 8:30." He said still smiling

"Sounds great" I said faking a smile

"See you then" he said, waving and walking away

What have I done?! I feel like a complete bitch saying I would go with him when I don't even like him! Gah why is life so hard? I mentally slapped myself for being so stupid.

I was walking out of the school gates when Zach tapped me on the shoulder.

"Do you wanna ride home?" He asked

I blushed a little. "Yeah sure" I said smiling

We walked to his car and he opened my door for me. I got in and waited for him to get in on the other side. When he got in he didn't start the car. Instead he turned to face me.
