Steven pov
"So that how we found this gem in the mining area, Garnet, I think it it might be a homeworld gem. I heard it cries for help and I think it's hurt. But I can't even heal it." I say sadden by my lack of ability.
"Impossible, Steven your healing saliva is able to heal both humans and us gems." pearl said in disbelief. " Even if you did heal it how do you know it safe. It could be a trick sent by homeworld."
"It was stuck behind a wall in the mine, It would impossible for homeworld to set this up." amethyst said arguing with pearl
"That doesn't mean it not dangerous or an enemy." pearl said in a know it all tone.
"It could also be a just a survivor of the war just like lapis was." amethyst argues back.
"Well it coul.."
"ENOUGH" Garnet says finally getting up to stop pearl and amethyst arguing. "Steven do you think you can heal this gem at all?" garnet ask me in her calming voice.
"I don't know, but I'll try my best!" I tell garnet in full honesty.
"I believe in you Steven." garnet said
"Steven shall hold onto the gem until its heal!" Garnet announced while getting up.
"B-but....what happens if it heals and tries to attack Steven!" pearls yells in worry.
"Steven got this, pearl" says garnet "believe in him." garnet says while looking at me.
"Plus we got a mission and we need to leave." garnet say while heading to the teleporter
"But someone should at least stay back and protect steven just in case right?" pearl asking garnet... well more telling garnet.
"I got this pearl and if anything happen i'll just summon my shield." I say confident in my fighting ability.
"you heard him pearl, lets go." amethyst says and walks to the teleporter next to garnet.
"(Sigh)... Ok Steven be safe, keep your guard up." Pearl said before going next garnet and they teleporting out.
"Ok, I let's do this!" Getting my self pump up and ready.
I use my healing spit again....nothing. "Come on.... work" I say mostly to it, but mostly to myself. I try again and again and again but nothing works. I get up get myself some water to hear knocking at the door. I guess water can wait.
I go to open the door to see Connie at the door.
"Hey Connie, what's up?" I say trying to look hydrated.
"Oh My God, Steven are u okay? Do u want me to get help?"
"I'm fine."
"No your not, you look like a pickle." Connie said worried
( "I could not think of anything else that is wrinkly and dehydrate")
Connie barge in the door and went straight to the kitchen and got a glass of water.
"Sit Steven." Connie sternly said
I sat down and took the glass from her. She watches me like a hawk like I did something bad.
"What's that? Is that a gem?" Connie said pointing towards the gem on the table
"Yes, but I think it might be a homeworld gem." I say putting the water on the table.
"It looks like it's crack?" Connie said touching the cracks of it.
"It is, but I can't heal it no matter how much I try." I say feeling down
Connie begins to comfort me until the glass of water spills over and ..... The water goes to the gem. The gem greedily soaks up the water like a sponge.
"What in the world?" Connie says looking at it fearfully.
"MORE!" I hear a voice say.
"What? Connie did you hear that?" I say, confuse about the situation
"Steven what are you talking about? Is it talking to you?" Connie ask me in confusion and shock.
"MORE!!" I hear the voice again
"Water, it must want water." I say loudly before rushing to get a bucket of water. I rush back as quickly as possible and put the gem in it. It's starts to absorb the water.
"It looks like it trying to heal itself " Connie says in amazement
"But it's not working" I say seeing the gem heal and then crack again.
"Maybe if u had your saliva it might help." Connie said.
"But you saw, my saliva doesn't work." I say in defeat
"What if... This gem can heal itself but it's too 'broke' to heal itself without hurting itself in the process, like a never-ending cycle of fixing itself but also hurting itself. So if my guess is correct then if you add enough of your saliva it could help." Connie said using that amazing brain of hers.
"Ok, I'll try." I say trying to push the negative thoughts of this failing out of my head. I hover over the bucket and muster as much spit as I can into the bucket. The gem absorbs. The water and my spit and starts to heal at a fast rate and no cracks reappearing.
"It worked? It worked!" I say feeling ecstatic about the result that I hug and spin Connie around.
"Thank yo...." I begin to say until a bright flash appear in the room and the gem begin to take shape.
"Hello" I hear it say to me in its full form.
It's taller than jasper, not by much, however it would be noticeable. It body is tone and muscle like a generals. Its body having stripes of blue, red, brown and white. Its hair slightly long and looking like it changing color and.... Texture. Its eyes switching between the colors also.
"Where am I?" I hear it ask
"Your in my house." I say to it slowly as cautious as I can.
"Hmmm.. Ok'' it say and just sits down on the floor....thinking.
"What's your name?" Connie ask ask it slowly and nice.
".......I don't know, .......I can't remember." It says in frustration.
"What if I give you a name?" I ask it.
"Ok, what name shall you give me tiny one." It says.
"What about (Y/N)?" I ask trying to be friendly.
"Hmmm...(Y/N).... I like it. My name from now on is (Y/N)." (Y/N) says and gets up. It gets up and begin to look around.
"(Y/N) let's talk."

Me and Connie try to help (Y/N) regain his memory but to no prevail.
"Well this is not working." I say in exhaustion.
"Well what if-" Connie begin to say but the teleportation pad begin to glow and the amethyst, garnet and pearl came back.
"Hey guys how was the mission." I ask them.
"It was long....... Steven, Connie get away from that monster." Pear said in panic and rushes towards us in panic.
Garnet joins in while amethyst, me and Connie are in the back confuse.
"Pearl, garnet this is the cracked gem we found earlier, he friendly." I say trying to convinced them.
"No, Steven this is no gem, this monster is CHAOS." Garnet say in dread.
