the similarities between you and the tide

you're just like the tides
you come in lows and highs
the beauty of the tides is somewhat misplaced
because the only beauty are the cuts that i trace
you're strong enough to knock me off my feet
just like the tides that come at the beach
and when i'm down
i know for a fact i'll drown
wether it's you or the tides
i know i won't make it out alive
