Emma woke to the sound of her dog Whispers (she named him when she was five) borking at her softly.

"Ok. Ok..." She responded to him, "I'll get out of bed... Wait, it's four am!" Emma exclaimed looking at the alarm clock with shock and just realizing why it hadn't gone off, "Well I guess it's too late for me to try to get back to sleep Whispers."

As she got out of her bed it made a creaking sound. She looked at the red curtains in her room clashing with the dark violet wall. Turning on her old flickering ceiling light she new that at least one good thing would come out of her moving, but then she immediately shook off the idea like it was a contagious disease. No I can't think like that She thought her resolve becoming stronger. As she walked out of her room she remembered to look out for the squeaky floor board that had gotten her caught many times before. She didn't let her guard down until she reached the safety of the living room carpet and soaked in all of its beige goodness.

It was about eight in the morning when her Dad came into the living room not so careful of the board anf making a loud squeak that could be heard from any corner of the house.

"Are you packed yet?" Her Dad asked sleepily unlike his daughter who was always wide awake.

"Yes Dad, but what about all of the big stuff like my dresser and the couch? I mean we can't fit them in our car..."

"Well honey, we're going to put them in the moving truck I rented from Liam's Moving Place. So you're going to have to help your old man move all of the big stuff." The light glinting in his blue eyes giving him a look of mischief. Funnily enough her eyes weren't blue like her father's but, rather brown like her mother's... Or at least that's what her Dad said, she did however inherit his mischievous look that tended to get her in trouble.

"Ok Dad," She smirked, "I guess I can help if you really need it..."

"That's my girl! Now how about I make us some breakfast."

"I do not object," She said in her best stern voice even though the effect was ruined by her laughing.
