A unique start of love

Neil, meets the family.

As we enter the gate, everyone stare at us. I guess they're all waiting for me to say who's with me.

To break the silence,

"Uhmmm This is Neil. My boyfriend.", says I while pointing Neil.

"Hello po 😊", says Neil to everyone.

"Hey. I'm Gab's elder brother. Nice to meet you. Go inside and eat. 😊 Then come back here after. We'll drink here and I'll start interviewing you.", says Arvin (My brother) to Neil while smiling.

And everyone says Hi and introduce themselves to Neil.

Afterwards, we now proceed to the screen door to enter our house.

Just like what happened from the garage, AGAIN they just stared at him and waiting for me to say who is he.

"He's Neil. My boyfriend.", says I to everyone.

"Hello po 😊", says Neil.

Then we look up to the stairs where my mom is currently sitting.

"Ma, This is Neil. My boyfriend.", said I with slight feeling of nervousness. I guess everyone feels the same whenever they introduce their special someone to their parents for the first time. NOT JUST ME.

"Hi po tita", says Neil to my mom and gets my mom's hand to bless.

For those who have no idea what I mean about bless, Bless is an act of respect specially to Filipinos. Got it? Good.

"Hi. Go sit there and eat. Feel at home.", says Agnes (My mom) to Neil while smiling.

WOooh! That smile is definitely a relief. BUT there is one more left who didn't see him yet. It's my dad.

I guess you're thinkin', so what? it's just my dad. So why worry?

Here's the thing. We are 3 babies of our parents. I have my elder brother Arvin, my younger brother Ravin, and me. So My parents have 2 sons and a daughter. Take note. A DAUGHTER. Yes! I'm the Unica Ija (Only Daughter) in the family. That's why the tough part is introducing a boyfriend to a father.

Anyways, this is what happen...

As we open the door to my parents' room, my dad was there.

"Pa, this is Neil. My boyfriend", says I while hands are shaky and cold.

"Hello po tito.", says Neil and gave my dad a bless.

"I don't like bless. I want a fist blow. I don't wanna feel old.", says Reny (My dad) to Neil while demonstrating his fist blow thingy.

"Hahaha. Okay tito. You're so cool.", says Neil to my dad as he respond to my dad's fist blow.

"Anyways, it's okay if my daughter has a boyfriend now. She's old enough to have one. As long as you love my daughter that's fine. We'll love you too as our new family member. Just don't hurt my daughter. Coz if you do, you know what will happen to you.", says my dad to Neil.

"Opo. Don't worry I will never hurt her. I have sisters and I'm the only guy. I know how you feel.", says Neil to my dad.

Okay. Okay. Better make sure. Okay you can go now. Have your dinner.", says my dad to us.

Wooooh! Another relief.

If you are on my place at this moment. You will definitely say, WOOOHH! THERE IS GOD.

The whole night was so fun. There are games, karaoke singing, eating, and alcohol drinking.

I guess this is the best year ever.
